Lol. The rats in my analogy are the gays and transes. The "consevotard religious zealots" is the Orkin Man. Aka Hamas and the other islamofascists.

Average Palestinians/Muslims weren't even a part of this analogy

They're not just homophobic. They literally threatened to repeat October 7th over and over.
Also, they do everything they can to increase civilian casualties because they know it it works for them on the international stage, especially with gullible westerners.

Despite that, the combatant:civilian death rate is amongst the lowest in recorded history.

That's exactly what I've been preaching for years now.

Some of these younger people don't understand what it's like to live under conservative Christian rule.

The earliest president they really remember is Obama. I mean sure, trump's technically a Republican but everyone knows he doesn't give a shit about gay stuff. He's a New York liberal.

So they're happy stoking these flames and playing with fire. Meanwhile you're right, the Christian fundamentalists are stronger than ever.

it's really no different than me liking a band like Slayer and/or bands like that - and not taking my 4 year old to one of there shows - because it's a bit inappropriate to be taking a 4 year old to see burning upside down crosses and whatnot


take your kid to see Barney on ice or something along those lines - yea it might suck for you as an adult, but that's when it becomes not about you anymore

It's just virtue signaling

"Look how hip and edgy I am, I'm taking my toddler to a drag show"

I'm so loving and progressive and cool.

I think it's an aging thing. They're afraid of getting old and want to stay relevant with the youth.
 
my mom was into hippy shit and my dad was into harleys and the biker lifestyle

i despised both of those things as a kid


can i be me? yup - they still let me be me even tho they were like "how did this happen?"

I tend to agree - identity politics seem to corrupt good judgement. That said, the reaction "naked drag queen" isn't accurate. Subtle shifts to truth in order to foster new narratives "I saw video of a naked drag queen with a toddler" crosses the line even more than what this video actually shows, which is a performer in a thong with nipple covers. Not naked, but certainly not dressed in a way that most people would deem appropriate for being around kids. We also don't know what the context of this video is or why the kid or the performer is at this event to begin with.

Without context, this stuff becomes open to interpretation and is the seed of our escalating narrative dissociation.
 
No don't you see that just saying "I saw video of a naked drag queen with a toddler" crosses the line and is even WORSE than what the video actually shows. You can't just interpret things without the proper context! It's actually a YOU problem and you should be educated on Media Literacy™
