Have some records. Not Pauls boutique but how that beat slipped my ears maybe our gear wasn t bass prepared yet.

But that bass originated probably from one of the Roland then total sell flops, maybe the put it through other apparatus, who knows.
that drum machine, were also sold as combined kit, on to 2 Acid sound generators, we called it the Bubble sound.
But if the beatsies used this one or the follow up 808 or 909? Probaly the 808. Those thing are expensive atm,
a retro version in good quality. In my dreams. But the Rebirth, a PC/ CD-rom version is affortable, and just as fun.

The boys were definitely pioneers when it came to sampling and beats. This song is part of b boy bouillabaise, which is the last song on Paul's Boutique. It's actually a combination of 9 different songs all done together so it is easy to miss. I was a fan up till check your head came out. That's when I saw them. After that I wasn't into them as much. Just out of curiosity have you heard some of their more obscure stuff? Cookie Puss? Boomin Granny?

I grew up in FL and in the late 80s, 90s Miami Bass and freestyle music was everywhere. Transition into the club breakbeats of the 90s and I became a dedicated bass head. The early days were the time of the lowrider mini trucks, 2 Live Crew, booming systems all over the place. So I've definitely heard of the Roland 808 machine. It's amazing to me how something like that can influence music for so many years. Imagine if that never was released. There'd probably be no heavy bass, electronic music, certain types of hip hop, trap, dubstep.

Gonna check out doesnt ring any bells, and i was fan from "Fight for your right to party" as teener till the death of Adam Yauch.
Their performance in A*dam/ Melkweg [Milkyway] during 'Ill Communication' LP was out, but my meory is hazy. Superb.
The DJ must have had a pile of crumbled 500 grams in front f em, end of the night is was gone.

As kid playing on a Roland 303 with the Acid sound generators, about 9 years, we also had no clue what this weird thing.
Would do later on, att they were a total sale disaster, ahead of their time Roland.

We are followers of each other now, but what does that actually mean. Saw I have more and some myself too.
But what does it do/ mean is the purpose, show I like you? :heart6:

Awesome. I love finding new artists to listen to.
And I have no idea what it means to follow someone. I just did it yesterday for the first time. I just followed the people who are pretty much the regulars that I interact with. I figured maybe I'll get notifications when they post something. But I really have no clue.
