Went to my doc and said i had no energy for nothing and he prescribed me lexapro tried it countless time but it does not give me any energy or motiviaton i just get depressed of that shit.
I need something to ger more drive and energy and motivitaton.
Dont even have energy for cleaning my toilet, my body hiurts whatever, could sleep all the time although i wanna do something but the energy is missing,

Have you or your doctor ever considered checking for other causes for your lack of energy and motivation?
It would be worth a try.
Feeling tired is a symptom of a lot of things, and eventually it leads to lack of motivation.

Tianeptine was the best antidepressant when it comes to energy that worked for me and in terms of keeping my depression away. The risk is that it can be abused at high doses and has terrible withdrawals. Antidepressants that were in the same class as Tianeptine seemed to work the best.

It helped me a bit with the lack of energy, but not like amphetamine. Try to not insufflate it because its very addictive.
HAve you been taking opioids for years if I may ask?

It does work but it is tricky to use for someone who has abused opioids or drugs. The normal prescribed dose of 12.5mg 3x a day won't produce an opioid-like high, but taking just 4 or 5 tablets can produce a buzz (and taking 10 or more produces a high). Once one feels the tianeptine high from larger doses, it becomes very difficult to use it responsibly.

For instance, personally, having once been hooked on 1.5-2g/day of tianeptine, there's little chance I could ever use it responsibly as an antidepressant.

Yupp i abused tramadol for 1 year max. Stopped in august 2023.
Totally out of boredom i dont even liked the effect so much.
I think this lethargy started in september 2023 in which i just stare at walls and could hoing on.
After sport I used to gave an ebergy burst now i just wanna lay down.
Im so fucking tired luckily dont have to work.
U think it has something to do with tramadol?
Also took methylphenidate for 3 years.
Im tired cant even think. I swear im gonna kill myself if that wont get better

Just read something about buspirone and it sounds interesting.
Whats better ? Wellbutrin or buspirone ?

Are you eating well? Could be low b12. Depression also causes low energy. I had to try a couple ad before I found one that worked

I was like you for 4 years. It was depression. Any of ad worked for me unless bupropion and I think something in my body didnt work. Now I have energy to work and do other thinks. Be patient. I understand you perfectly

Wellbutrin is a popular AD they use in the EU when a patient has stopped using cocaine; I had a prescription for it at one point. While initially I liked it and felt it gave me significant bursts of energy, there were side effects which ultimately led me to stop taking it.

First of all I significant insomnia from it coupled with pretty terrible dreams/nightmares; I felt it lacked proper dopamine stimulation and was somewhat too much on the norepinephrine side; my anxiety was through the roof and so was my anger.

Overall I felt it was more like a dirty/unclean half-baked amphetamine wannabe (for a lack of a better word) than a legit medicine, at least for me.

I find modafinil works better for me; with a lot less jittery feeling/sweats/nightmares.

I've read that Venlafaxine (Effexor) is a potent SNRI (just like half the effect of Tramadol) which could in some instances, work well.

I've been taking Wellbutrin SR 100 2x daily, for years. I was initially prescribed Celexa for my depression and anxiety, but taking the Celexa alone gave me sexual side effects: could not orgasm. I told my shrink about this and he added the Wellbutrin. So, Wellbutrin in the morning because it has stimulating effects and the Celexa at night as it makes me drowsy. This combination has worked for me. I took a vacation from my meds for about 10 years because I had started shooting smack. Who needs antidepressants when you've got heroin?!
I definitely notice positive effects when I'm on them.

I went to my docotor yesterday and got it ..... i should have asking for benzos but i forgot im so fucking tired since ever but last weeki have sleep problems i wake up every 2 hours, wake up at 4 for 30min then feel asleep and wake up not well rested.
plus i have such vivid dreams that when i wake up in the middle of the night im not sure if its real or not for example i dreamed of having braces again or that someone stole my speaker and wallet.
the dream was so real that when i woke up i thought oh shit my speakers are gone
so i guess taking wellbutrin is not such an good idea ?
but i also got trazodon.
my doc doesnt even have a clue what these is i just asked for it lmao.
but as i said i guess benzos would better option

I'd recommend you get some blood work done to rule out possible organic causes.

I'd ask for a thyroid panel (check for underactive thyroid), hematocrit (red blood cell count), and to test for vitamin deficiencies, especially the B group.
All of these can cause the symptoms you're describing, and often people go for years experimenting unsuccessfully with various anti-depressants when the problem is something else.

Strictly in my opinion, antidepressants regardless of their pharmacology are ineffective except for cases of severe depression—like unable to get out of bed or post on a drug forum depression.
