Anxiety that I suppose to have haha. I manipulated the doc. I told him that when sometimes I went to emergency room with anxiety or pannick attacks they give me diazepam and it works so good for me. He wanted to give me quetiapine cause I have 3mg lorazepam prescribed. But he only give 10mg a day. Not bad. But I wake up groggy
Diazepam has a much longer half life than lorazepam, so that might happen at first if that's what you're used to

I have found that if you don’t have a physical dependency on benzodiazepines, it is better to go with the shorter acting ones such as alprazolam or clonazepam, I find diazepam to be more helpful when there is a physical dependency because much less dosing is needed…. Just my thoughts!

Clonazepam has a reasonably long half life, it's not really comparable to alprazolam imo. Lorazepam would be a better alternative for a shorter acting one, to your point.

Imo it's better to just take the long acting ones if you're only taking them sporadically.
Interesting, good to know. I have no experience with lorazepam… I guess the reason I said that was because when I was taking diazepam 20 to 40 mg biweekly was still building tolerance when I take alprazolam or clonazepam biweekly I don’t notice a tolerance build… appreciate the insight

Clonazepam half life = 19-60 hours

Diazepam half life = 20-100 hours

Alprazolam half life = 11-13 hours

Lorazepam half life = 10-20 hours

- 200mg of morphine
- 4mg of clonazepam
+
- 1 tea spoon of Nigella sativa (black seed) oil
- 1000mg of Acetyl-L-Carnitine
- 1500mg of DLPA
- 2000mg of L-Citrulin-Malate
- 1000mg of L-arginine
- 400mg of magnesium bisglycinate
- 2000mg of Taurine
- 500mg of Valeriana officinalis extract (Valerian)
- 1000mg of Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha)
- 500mg of Passiflora incarnata (Passionflower)
- 200mg of L-Theanine
Many years ago this girl gave me a little flower bud in a bag that she said was Passionflower. She said if I put it in a hot cup of water and brewed it, that the bud opens up into a full flower & when you drink it you feel calm. I thought I lost it but, recently found the bag. (I don’t know if it’s too old now). Anyways, what does the Passionflower feel like for you? This girl compared the calm to like a benzo, is that true?

I liked it whenever I've taken taken it but I've never drank the tea. It feels like valerian but a little more chill. Definitely cool.

Passionflower never feelt like anything to me. Not like Valerian root broth.
But it might be a placebo effect thing. I drank passionflower before I knew benzos existed, while I only recently discovered Valerian. My brain knows now how to consciously perceive the change from tense to relaxed.

Valerian made me kind of groggy. I like ashwhaghandha?? better
True. I drink the Valerian when I want to make sure I have a good night's sleep, or feel insomniac. Don't like to take clona for that.

Never tried ashwaghanda (???) but heard from people who tried various alternatives that it helps.

Now quetiapine can cause hangover effect. Maybe the slight hangover effect is just your body not use to that dose of benzo. But then again do you take your Lorazepam daily and what dose.

Im precribed 3mg but I take 1 or 2mg. Normally I take it at night cause my problem is insomnia. At the beginning of my insomnia I was prescribed 10mg( we have 5mg lorazepam tabs) but now I sleep better.

For me personally Lorazepam has very little hypnotic effect so I'm confused with the doc prescribing it. Anyhow if you were doing 10mg lorazepam then 10mg diazepam should honestly do jack to you less alone give a groggy effect next day. I'm confused with this one.

But just please keep in mind the dependency that forms.

Clonazepam is a long acting benzo.

Good to know sounds like my doc gave me some misinformation! Appreciate that correction! Going to speak to him about going for more short acting. Any suggestions?
Do you mind explaining not in full detail but just a summary of why you need and use them. I will be able to provide you with some more on point answers or concerns and input. Thanx
