I guess the thing is did a band/musician play a major role in the 90s.
Because Offspring were mentioned here, and they formed in the 80s.
And what about Aerosmith, who had a big revival in the 90s?
And Metallica?
I think that's a good formulation for the "requirement"I think the fair question here would be: was the band/artist in their prime in the 90s? (Or at their most popular)
No, not the backstreet boys, I ain't picking on you it just that they are beyond horrible, like vanilla ice bad but worse. Some other picks are great bands, but not the backstreet boys. They ain't a band, they are everything bad about music. They can't play instruments, write music and are horrible. They are the 90's New kids on the block but worse. Only group of lip syncing suck music worse was NSYNCThis thread has already more videos than actual nominations.
And that's why I keep missing the important stuff.
So that's
- system of dawn
- REM
- Backstreet boys
- RATM
- Alice in chains
- Folk implosion
- I mother earth.
?
Not sure about the last two.
Yeah, the Rolling Stones have been selling out concerts for the last 60 years but haven't been very relative since about 1980. We sure ain't gonna put them on our election balletsI think the fair question here would be: was the band/artist in their prime in the 90s? (Or at their most popular)
If stp didn't get chosen I would've thrown a fit. I would hope mal had enough foresight to put those in his choicesWell, there are a lot of fine bands to choose from. These are not necessarily my favorites but I'm sure someone else will pick Nirvana or Offspring, for example, so I'm just going with two that I hope don't get forgotten.
The Cranberries
Stone Temple Pilots
There's no hard and fast rule. As long as they were relevant/popular or had an impact on 90s pop cultureThese bands have to be born in the 90s right?
They're ok. I used to make fun of people liking them too, but they have some good songs.@deficiT likes the goo goo dolls![]()
