The press refers to journalism not printing money

Do a simple web search, you will find 'power of the press' is in reference to free speech as it relates to newspapers and other media. I suspect you can find absolutely no reference to it meaning 'printing presses' for money. It has been, always, for the abililty of people to express their views with limited constraint (sedition, etc) gov't oversight or constraint.

Write a research proposal and submit it to the senate to debate on.
Then have it pass over to congress, who has the authority to coin money.
It would go to the mint to print (press) new currency for distribution as the investigator research had been approved upon.

It is backwards to think that the federal reserve can get away printing money to fund big government.
They have been doing it this way since 1913. And the century of the central bank coincides with the century of perpetual war.

I would abolish the NSF, NIH, and all those that play favorites in granting money to scientists and researchers.
I have four proposals I want funded, and for three of them, getting congressional approval is how it flies in my book.
They were denied by the NSF because of wanting to research cannabis and psychedelics at the time. They simply said, this is illegal, and no.

Anyway, on a side note, it bothers me, that if the government can fund itself with a federal reserve. Why are we paying taxes.
and it comes down to subservience, compliance, and blind obedience of the average american.

Plenty of researchers manage to study cannabis and psychedelics with the proper safeguards in place along with approval from their institutional IACUC/IRB. Its also difficult or near impossible to get funding if you don't have PhD training

I have a story to tell.
The current operation isn't working.
I studied for my Ph.D. but was shutdown before a public defense.
Even tho I presented my research (ruthenium hemilabile coordination compounds) in places like Philadelphia and D.C. conventions.
Those would easily serve as a formal defense.
It got too political at SUNY and they said I could no longer work on research there. For trying to talk to a girl, get a date, who was working in my group.
Anyway, you can disallow it.
But you get NIH funding things like covid, and gain of function research in china and stuff.
That's gotta stop.
The fed prints blank checks to Ukraine, and lowly ol, ions can't get $176,000 for proposal number one.

So yeah, deny cannabis and psychedelic research. But I have training in spectroscopy and inorganic synthesis which I also have proposals for.
I just don't think that congress and the senate are doing the jobs they got elected for.
