Now give me one good reason why I should care about the fact that I, a white person, am both native American and also Persian ancestry. What culturally shared beliefs do I have with thes people? There are over 150 million non white naturalized immigrants in the US. Over 3x the entire Canadian population.

Yeah, fix the infrastructure. To many narrow roadways, bridges that are too old and get rid of the Urban blight. About 98% of Detroit is a fixer upper, and I am being kind. Besides Canada cannot support the type of living we have in the US, (accept Alaska, what is their population density)

Yep, slightly less now because of internal migration ( lots of people from the South moved and still move to the North to work) but yeah, they used to call us Africans or "terroni " ( like "land peasants " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrone).

Cesare Lombroso, the father of modern criminology, had a theory according to which many of us were "natural born criminals " also because of our African and Arab ancestry ( very offensive, I m cool with the natural born criminal thing but I m no Arab! just kidding in case you are wondering)

I haven’t been to S Italy but there are very white people there and ones with lots of admixture, as you’ve observed yourself.

Actually his "truths" were very popular in the Italian academia and in the scientific community as a whole from the second half of the 19th century up until the end of WWII. Very handy in order to give a "scientific rationale " to a number of criminal policies . Here some of his "truths":

- The unrest in the recently annexed South Italian regions? That s because South Italian are ungrateful beasts, not because life in the South went from hard to untenable (heavy taxation, military conscription, privatization of public domain land etc) .

- Should women have political rights and access to education? Nonsense, they are biologically inferior to men!
- Crime could be prevented by improving the living conditions of the lower classes? Nonsense, criminals are "born that way".

Mass 3rd world immigration is fairly recent actually

Nah, man, migrations have been going on for ages. Mass migrations intrigue me and I sometimes wonder where it will be next time around. If it's hot surely it won't be around the equator.
Since mankinds inception migration has been a "thing". Mostly dampered by industrialism I think and agriculture.
It'll all fail and we will hit the trail soon enough maybe within the next 10 yrs idk.
For not having much to contribute to the migration phenom seems I almost wrote an essay.
Best to all of us hope we can get along on that narrow path to a place where the grass is greener but history will predict otherwise.

Fundamentally I think this exposes why societies are a halfway house for humanity, before reaching true civilization, and why I sort of agree with the John Lennon communist-esque idea of 'imagine no countries..'.

You create a wall/national boundary, like a biological cell wall, and you immediately establish the conditions for osmosis to take place whereby pressure can increase inside the cell or in reverse cause its dissolution. It takes the overarching, superior, strategic body consciousness to navigate the environment, to ensure the cells of that body are not dehydrated or over-saturated.

In other words, it requires a superior governing or unifying motivator. One obvious path, is a global governing system, but we see the fundamental flaws in this approach already in our world, because the superior governing forces are themselves not superior and do not even understand their own humanness. There is another way, which starts from the ground up.. from the individual.

Why is it people want to immigrate in the first place? Primarily economics, or fleeing the consequences of other human beings who themselves act out of ignorance. Give people their own plot of land and the means of self-sufficiency, and both the economic and survival motivators for immigration virtually evaporate. Immigration will always be a problem so long as we try to maintain the walls, the economic model, instead of investing into what we can do to allow all humans to just live out their lives with quiet dignity.

It has been interesting seeing him evolve his perspective over the past couple of years. Unfortunately I can't stomach much of his talking a mile-a-minute ADHD style of presentation, I just don't have the patience to decompress it. Though in fairness I'm burnt out at this point, I just want the nonsense to be over tbh.
