In case anyone missed channel 4 news last night. (For anyone outside the UK, channel 4 news is probably the best UK news programme.)

The White House has condemned a conference in Jerusalem attended by more than ten members of the Israeli government - calling for settlements to be re-established in Gaza, along with the mass relocation of the Palestinian population.

Someone needs to learn a bit more about recent history. Israel relinquished control and withdrew completely in 2005, including evicting Israeli "settlers". This is basic knowledge.

Are they wrong to maintain a very strict security apparatus on the border? Hamas devote most of their citizens resources to creating weapons to use against Israel. Case in point, October 7th. And you imagine that this would motivate Israel to ease up their security arrangements? They may as well just turn Iron Dome off. What world are you living in?

Israel supply some water and a lot of electricity to most of Gaza. More definitive proof of ethnic cleansing, right? 🙃

Can anyone post a map of what part or Palestine was given to Israel originally and what they have now?

Why were the Jews given part of Palestine at all?

using bombs that are bigger than necessary, bombing civilians at an unprecedented rate, calling for the moving of the palestinians to another place... it's not that hard.

this is a regime that has unprecedented accuracy. you're deliberately being daft.

Explain how cutting off the water or power you supply to an enemy that has massacred your innocent civilians is a war crime.

Noone is obligated to provide succour to an enemy. But anyway, Israel are indeed still providing water to Gaza so your point has evaporated. Israel are also providing aid in the form of food and medical supplies. What are Hamas doing for Palestinians?

I totally get your broader point, the war is horrible. Where we differ is who is to blame. It's why I keep asking you why you don't condemn Hamas more. It's because I think they are clearly responsible for what is happening. You just won't see what is clearly true here. It's bias.

Come on, dude. That is just bad faith slander. I don't think that war crimes are being committed by Israel. Responding militarily to an unprovoked attack on civilians is not a war crime. Cutting off supply to an enemy is not a war crime. No other nation fighting an enemy is expected to do the things Israel are expected to. Why is that?
