Then why do we hear about people that still have anhedonia etc YEARS later after stopping aps ?
I will again repeat what I said.

said it stops when the medication is ceased, and it does.

I said above that it stops when the medication is ceased, which is the truth.

*Faster for some people than for others.*"

This above sentence should answer your question, but I will try to make it clear with the next quote. Faster for some people than for others means that some people have very fast recovery. Barely have tp do any work. This also means that some people will recover extremely slowly. This would be people such as those you mentioned.

That means that some people will experience a relatively quick recovery from AP medication, and others will experience a very protracted recovery.

^^see above again.

Some people will experience a relatively quick recovery from AP medication.

'Why do you see people still having ahedonia years later?'

The answer: some people will experience a relatively quick recovery from AP medication... *and others will experience a very protracted recovery*

I'm not saying anything that you really disagree with. I've said that some people recover fast, others take much longer. That's the truth. Just because some people take years go recover does not mean that everyone else has that same experience.

what about the people who never recovered 8-10 years later with full anhedonia and sexual dysfunction from 1 injection?

true over 50 percent of people injected with invega sustenna commit suicide within a year
I found out that it damages your hypothalmus, pituatary and pineal glands...all necessary for hormonal function and regulation.Things like sex drive, heat and cold absorption, sleep, personality, wants and needs, regulation of emotions. So the reward center of your brain basically gets fucked. Also, I get what you said about confronting the people who did this too you.You have every right for revenge. It crosses my mind every minute of the day.But it would be sweeter to get better and take it from there.Im working with someone from another country who found and acknowledged the damage that was done.If this doesn't work then I don't know what my next move is.

the people who recover have no damage one person got an mri and everything was normal, you have damage doesn't mean everyone does the people who don't recover probably have damage and the people who had extreme reactions like burning brain pain which you had also likely have brain damage i dont want revenge or confrontation i wanna recover and move on! and i wanna NEVER GO TO THE MENTAL HOSPITAL AGAIN!

Hi everyone. I had one abilify injection , then 3 invega injections. Currently its been 4 months since the last injection, and Im taking seroquel 200mg XR since then. I still feel anhedonia, no more akathisisa. Is seroquel still contributing to anhedonia or is it only sustenna? I will start tapering seroquel soon. Also how long before anhedonia goes away?

Seroquel can cause anhedonia, not as bad as invega in my experience. You probably have a few more months until the invega really starts to clear out of your system.

Thanks for the reply. its been hard dealing with zero emotions.

This is not a competition. And risperudone is not the strongest medication I was on, I was dosed up on 900mg of seroquel XR as someone who weighed 60kg.

I am extremely sympathetic towards this cause. I actually do not support wide use of psychiatric medication.

It is frankly somewhat absurd for you to say that because I took oral AP medication, including being megadosed on a medication that caused me to become so zombiefied I could barely crawl out of my bed for 3 weeks, that i do not understand side effects from AP medication.

I could say that since you only had two shots, and I've been medicated since I was in my mid teens through until almost being 30, that in fact you lack experience regarding the side effects of AP medication. I've been on lithium, valproate, seroquel, ability, lamotragine, lurasidone, risperidone, prozac and mirtazepine.

Most importantly, like many people in here, *I never actually needed to be on all these meds*, much less multiple at one time (my biggest dose of meds was 1500mg valproate, plus risperidone, plus abilify, AND lamotragine, AND seroquel.

I would be shocked to see anyone function on that amount of AP medication, and it is wildly unreasonable to claim that I lack understanding of these class of medication because I took a different form of it.

A lot of people posting in here seem to be concerned about two main points.

1 - their sexual function being negatively affected, which is something that ALL AP meds do, all SSRIs, essentially all psychiatric medications. This will go away relatively quickly after cessation of the medication.

2 - not being able to feel the effects of illicit drugs. Again, this is par for the course for all of these types of medication, and as above, ceases when medication ceases.

TD is a HUGE issue with being on these medications LONG TERM. It's not surprising to me that given you have only had two shots (and I say only not in the sense that having two is okay, but that you have not been medicated with these drugs for an extended period of time), that you don't have any concern about TD. As someone who was on psychiatric meds for a decade, and until my misdiagnosis got fixed, would have continued to remain on medication indefinitely for the remainder of my life, the risk of TD is immense. I count myself extremely fortunate that I didn't experience it.

Given your short exposure to AP meds, this issue isn't at all a risk for you. But that does not mean it isn't a risk for those of us who have been unnecessarily medicated with stupidly strong medications for no real reason at all.
When off the shots, I had TD for a few months, then it mostly went away.
Sometimes it would appear randomly, up to 1 year off.

Mechanism of Seroquel is completely different, it antagonizes only D1 dopamine receptor type while paliperidone has strong antagonism on D1 to D5, Seroquel is known for its weak antagonism, and it's considered weak AP.

A lot of people from here, if ignoring the activity, has gotten issues from invega like:
- suicidality
- numbed/ruined experience of life (anhedonia falls into that)
- lack of ability to focus
- complete dysfunctionality (= can't work)
- decrease or complete absence of positive and negative emotion
- suffering, agony and misery
- destroyed motivation

While some of recent more common posters you have seen since you didn't read all 1 to 8 threads speak about sexual side effects a bit more often, which is just a coincidence.

Why do you have to repeat yourself so many times? You speak too much for no reason, like a politician. So annoying...
