Bible verse of the day!! Get your daily study on.

Most of my family are catholic. I am however just a Follower. I have gifts in prophecy. My sister tries to debate cheerfully about Mary but I assure you. Yes she was Highly favored. But salvation is only in 1 and that's Christ Jesus. Read Revelation 2 and 3. Those tell the 7 conditions of His Bride right as they all go thru the 7 seals then 7 trumpets. Those words that where told to Daniel the Prophet are to be seal until the end. It's Revelation. It's been the lasts days since Christ ascended into heaven. We may have another thousand years of God's mercy and patience but He said when I come back will I find faith on the Earth. But as of now we have a dozen ways of taking ourselves out. Knowledge will increase, that to me is the prophecies are being interpreted correctly cuz God is giving us wisdom in these symbolic prophecies. Still we may have much more time to go

To put it in simplest terms we are being warned that if we do not repent and do penance then there will be a period chastisement. It is also been warned that those in charge of the "church" on earth are entering into grave mistakes and doing great evil. This is not congruent with "Rapture" theology that teaches that some will be "whisked away" prior to the chastisement.

it's truly interesting
seem that something will happen (soon, perhaps..) in the world that would be like a final warning from God,
that warning will be like some cosmic cataclism or interestellar event, (like some energy or whatever) and that event would create some kind of Conscience in some people, because for a couple minutes everything will stop and everyone will see their soul as God see it. Something similar to a NDE (near-death-experience) but harsher and more brutal as you would see how you really are, for the good and the bad.
That would be a bit like a "Rapture" because probably those who would not listen to the warning, so, those who will keep doing bad with themselves/others, will probably end up not saved, while those who are would repent or keep being in the good path, would separate themselves solidly (spiritually) from the sinners.

That's how I see it's more or less compatible with the Rapture, but not in the Sci-fi magical way it's normally explained.

I don't really understand what's going on with the idea of Catholics worship Mary, I mean, my family is catholic and they worship God, only God (the Trinity, which is God). I think in some protestant countries some people have and exaggerated idea of how catholics "worship" Mary, perhaps because of the Rosary? not sure, perhaps it's because catholics in protestant countries are that way and give too much importance to Mary??

in anycase I'm a Christian but I don't usually go to Church and my praying it's personal, most times not through "formal" prayers. I just read the Bible and tend to feel close to God considering his words and my intuition. I know it's very far from perfect but my way has led me to that at the moment. I very recently became aware and expressly Christian, this has been a decision since I brokethrough on DMT and experimented what I consider to be "forbidden territories".
 
If right as we speak Daniel was told by the two on each side of the bank. Seal up the Words until the end. Swore by Him who lives forever it will be a time and a time and a time and a half. For three and half years nothing noticeable that would cause ppl to repent. Then the AC will come out of the shadows. He won't have any family or royally kinda how Hitler was. He will forsake his forefathers so their might be a Jewish Origen. He will have a burning hatred for the Holy Covenant. Now what does that mean? It means that Christians will be tested the hardest. When the man said seal up the Words until the end, for knowledge will increase and ppl will go to and fro.

Then when the Bible was complete when Nero died. The prophetic edge has nearly taken two thousand years. If ppls eyes of their hearts so to see the Gospels and giving everything up, to LOVE GOD W ALL YOUR HEART, MIND AND SOUL. By doing so you can. Only love your enemy or friend as yourself. We are servants to advance God's Great Kingdom in the 1000 yr reign. I believe the Book of Joel talks about Hitler and Nazis. Look what happened out of that. The scattered Jews got their land back. If you notice that God swore to Abraham. This is why the Jewish ppl are always chastised. They don't believe Jesus came and will Come again but this time it's time defend Israel cuz they will cry out to Jesus. They will finally believe He was telling the Truth. God divorced His Wife and married one that would love Him. Us Gentiles. We will as the Word says make the Jews Jealous. I just beg God relent upon these nukes that we and the world may see. That's the only thing that's going to open ppls eyes to the truth. 911 was enough for a few years. God will strike the earth He gave man wisdom to nuke this World. Revelation 2 and 3. Tells you what the conditions Of His Body of Christ.

When we see him face 2 face. We who can discern hearts will know automatically who he is. The Son of Perdition, the one destined for destruction.

He will be from the Tribe of Dan. He will probably be a Muslim. He will take on a innocent persona but deep down His heart burns hatred for the Holy Covenant that was promised to Abraham. Satan knows he has lost, he doesn't care who he murders. He hates. As the man of sin hates. Which makes me think he will be a Muslim dressed up like A Jew.

He will cultivate every evil dictator that has ever lived. Satan will give him his throne and great authority.

We are given the blueprints of this unfolding so we would be prepared to endure the worse Tribulation ever. Hitler will pale in comparison to this evil 666. Satan, the beast, and the false prophet. 6 is a warped number 7 is perfect in which God will make sure 0 the 7 Year Tribulation but it could only be three and a half years. My personal assumption is that since he has forsaken his father's there maybe some Jewish origin in there. When you start to see a man do false miracles like raise the dead. Heal the hands that have shriveled. These miracles maybe real but they don't have the Son of God stamped on them. So they are demonic.

In Moses day they saw so much divine battles in the air that they knew demons and plagues can be sent from God to destroy His enemies. Parting the Red Sea would of been epic to see. So back in Moses day they knew the supernatural, man today relies on his own knowledge and science.

Why King David said a fool says in his heart there is no God. You may have all the Tony Stark Iron man knowledge but if you don't see or know the Maker the Bible calls you a fool.

Science and technology are a sorta delusions brought on by the God thru the world that they would believe a lie.

I settled it a long time ago that God I won't mess w your sanctification and that the work will be finished. I can look back on my life as if I'm in a High Tower and see God navigating my life.

You read that right. According to the supposedly meek and mild Jesus, simply being a human male and having normal and instinctual thoughts and feelings come up in your mind & body can get you thrown into hellfire. This supposedly moral man is saying it is better to blind yourself than to see an attractive woman and have a sexual thought. In the Christian myth God is all powerful and the creator of humanity. This God created us as a species which reproduces through sex, therefore evolving lustful instincts to encourage us to engage in reproduction. Then, after doing this, he sends his son to tell us that we can be condemned for eternity and thrown into the lake of fire for having "bad" thoughts. He created us sick, then condemns us for it. The cherry on top of this wicked cake is that this supposedly benevolent God/ Jesus does all this and is considered by Christians as benevolent and that he loves you (and you are commanded to love him). This is the sick, twisted, brutal, barbaric, and sadistic MORAL CHAOS of The Bible. And that's just one example in a very long book...

People who think the Bible, Yahweh, and Jesus is moral, wise, merciful, enlightening, and something to admired and followed are either evil or lying to themselves through cognitive dissonance because they can't accept that the religion that they have been indoctrinated into a religion they are told is good and moral since the day they were born. Or lastly, and I think this is the majority reason by far. Most people who consider themselves Christian have never picked up and read, cover to cover, the book they think is the inspired word of God and all they know about Christianity is through their preacher and bible study that justifies this barbarity, or usually just doesn't bring it up.

Please my beautifully flawed fellow primates. Throw off the chains of religious faith and come into the light of reason. Throw away the sick commandments of the Bible and claim the rights of The Enlightenment. Give up the arrogant and grandiose claim that there is a God that cares about you, does stuff for you and made this universe all for us and accept the beautifully humble fact that we are a chromosome away from a Chimpanzee. We aren't the center of the universe. We don't know why we are here. We don't know why the universe exists. We don't even know if there is a "why" in the first place. It's surprising the comfort you can receive from being okay with not knowing all the answers. Finally, the stuff we do know exists. Black Holes, Evolution through natural selection, the beauties of science and the glory of artistic expression, human love and empathy, just all the beautiful things and processes we discover on this mossy wet rock we call Earth. These things, to me, are far more beautiful, interesting, and inspiring then that ancient bronze age Bible. Wether you are Christian or not, we are still brother and sister homo sapiens, and that's what really matters. And remember, it's ok to have sexual desires about someone that isnt your spouse, as long as you don't act on it. And even if you do, you don't deserve to go to hell but don't be surprised if a divorce is coming your way. I tease of course and Peace & Love to you all.
 
There is such a huge difference between not being able to control your eye or hand. What He was saying it is very serious one look is fine but to beat off for 7 hours cuz you're on meth or bath salts that you can't control yourself. That's what He was trying to convey. He still loves you. Why even warn ppl of these moral dangers that offend a God With Moral Properties. A Supreme being with Moral laws. I've been there where all I could think about was sex. My ex broke up w me mainly because I was a dog. Returning back to his vomit. When you love your gf or wife you'll take a bullet for her. Do anything that would benefit her and both of yall.. The Bible is our blueprints to this life. I'm sorry you where born into a world like this but God is real I promise you. I got the best of both worlds. Him here, Him in Heaven where I won't be seeing Him thru a glass dimly as Paul said. I will know Him as He is Love. The real enemy is the devil. All those things you are trying to fill thar hole in your soul you'll only find in Him.

He however He is Holy and He will have to remain true to His character. It's kinda selfish to say oh why GOD did you create me? Im just thankful even in my darkest hours. Cuz the deepest Praise come from us when we're on our knees. He does Love you more than anything and all He is trying to do is save you.

I'm not Christian. I like aspects of some religions. Clearly, I understand why people dislike the church.

It's easy to say in retrospect that it was easy in Jesus' time to stand up for your beliefs and be outspoken and ultimately be nailed to a cross... assuming that actually happened.

We're talking 2000 years ago. You can't sensibly compare the statements of someone back then to the statements of someone now. In Deuteronomy, there are passages about beating slaves. I think it says it's okay - more or less - if you don't beat them to death. Deuteronomy translates to second law or something. Back then, it literally was the law. So there's a bunch of ancient law.

Getting woke on Buddha for leaving his family is the same thing.

But - hey - I agree to some extent. I don't think anyone should worship Jesus or any other prophet.

He wasn't the son of God any more or less than any other human is IMO.

That's just arrogance.

Actually according to the story He was not going around Palestine bragging "Hey look how cool I am I m the Son of God", people were recognizing Him as the Son of God ( see John 1) especially due to his actions of mercy and compassion(i.e. the healing of the blind man in John 9, 35-38 or of the son of the royal official in John 4, 53 or of many people in the city of Genneseret in Matthew 14, 34-36) Even the demons recognized Him (ex. Luke 4, 33-34 " In the synagogue there was a man possessed by a demon, an impure spirit. He cried out at the top of his voice, 34 “Go away! What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God!”, Luke 4, 41 "Demons also were coming out of many, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But rebuking them, He would not allow them to speak, because they knew Him to be the Christ."). Last but not least, a God that humbles Himself to the point of becoming flesh and dying as He did to save us looks anything but arrogant to me. For good or worse Christianity is an unicum among religions in general and Abrahamic religion in particular , on this point I recommend Rene Girard ´s Things Hidden Since the Foundation of the World.
 
I don't take it for granted that he was the son of God or that he died to save us... whatever that means? I don't even take it for granted that the story is based on an actual person. I don't think anybody that wrote anything about him actually met him? That's not to say he didn't exist. I'm just sceptical of stories about people who perform miracles.

It creeps me out a bit when Christians talk about the life of Christ as if they know everything about who he was.

I suspect there was a man the stories were based on and he was a hippy much like the bearded revolutionaries in the 1960's... and I think he was probably, by all accounts, pretty cool.

But I don't get how being nailed to a cross is an accomplishment. I don't think that was ever part of the plan. They had to say it was a miracle and he did it to save us and he rose from the grave because... otherwise he's just a man that got stapled to a piece of wood.

Dunno about the others but I m not particularly offended. I m a Christian Catholic so 1) I interpret the entire Old Testament as a gradual progression towards Jesus and the New Testament 2) I believe that the authors of the Old Testament were not privy to the fullness of divine revelation 3) My Faith is not based only on the Bible but on the Bible AND the Tradition (Councils etc). So if you have a beef with the violent passages of the Old Testament (there s way more violent stuff in there than the ones you posted) that s...ok, but is kinda a non problem for me and for Catholics in general, maybe it is for some Jews or the hardcore Fundamentalist Biblical Literalist, you should check with them .

The debate on the "historical Jesus vs the Jesus of the Gospels" is HUGE, and so is the debate on when the Gospels were written, some say around the 55 CE, some around the 70 CE, in both cases there were likely "first generation" Christians around who had witnessed at least some of Christ ´s actions and teachings and would have likely called bullshit if the Gospels were total fiction.So it s probable that at least the parts about His public deeds and teachings went more or less as it s written, Plus, the Apostles were real people, that devoted their life to spread Christ´s message and preferred to die as martyrs rather than renounce to their Faith. Either they were all a bunch of insane scammers or they have witnessed something and heard that was cool indeed, as cool that was worth living and dying for Him

I'm just saying, I'm not going to take it for granted that he's a God.

 
Oh man, I ve watched this movie like hundreds of times when I was a kid, but always dubbed so it kinda feels weird watching this scene in its original language, as if the "real " version is this one...

I have quoted this passage in another thread but for me is THE passage, kinda "why I am Christian " in a nutshell :

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you." —John 15:12-15.

"I no longer call you servants...instead I have called you friends..." and mind you, He KNEW that Peter would have denied Him three times, that the other Apostles with the exception of John were scared and afraid and full of doubts and running here and there after his Crucifixion, He knew how fucked up we all are, and if He wanted he could have gone all scorched earth" do as I say or die". But He wants us to be free and wants us to be not His slaves but His friends, free human beings that freely follow Him because it s simply the best thing to do , in this life and in the next. But here we are or at least here I am, trading freedom for the false security of addiction, because freedom is both a gift and a curse, at times I think that addiction is a way to cope with uncertainty, you take x you know that you will feel y. Sorry JC working on it....
