Why do Americans say shit about ww2 like "you'd be speaking German if it wasn't for us"?

See Veghost, "yada yada" is very important when it comes to civil division.
Both my grandparents fought our civil war in different sides. Both told me how they didn't gave a shit about the wild social division and yada yada and soon they found themselves under the bombs. Both of them explained me how, no matter what, I should never rise a hand against a fellow countryman or I would regret for the rest of my life, no matter who could win: One of them saw victory and the other saw defeat, none of them won anything and both lost their parents.
These stories hunt me to this very day, but I met young (or ignorant) people who think of that time as old men tales and yada yada.

You also once had a very ugly civil war where you killed each other by the hundreds of thousands. Maybe your grandparents didn't fought it, but other americans did and they would tell you the very same tales my grandpas told me.

And don't think that I am a pacifist, a hippy or a "let's all be mates in the fairy's medow" dude. Not at all, I have grew bitter enough by now and know better than that, but I just don't really like to see how things are going between fellow americans.

And the only idea of "moral circles" that somehow would allow them to make an individual's "brain moral map", no matter if liberal or conservative, make me puke and scares the shit out of me. It is the most medieval, sectarian, inquisitorial shit that I have heard or seen in many moons.

I know a lot of people is making money out of hate in the US political landscape but I truly thing someone else can foresee huge profit from eventually dramatic events that that level of hate may lead to one day

I am not a leftist, if I were I would have gone like" that study shows how liberals have more abimity for abstract intelligence where conservatives can't see any further than their nose", you know?. But I didn't.

I absolutely understand that maybe you can not understand how a person can refuse conservative ideas without being a lefty, or the other way round, but you know, It happens sometimes.

I didn't call you a lefty. How would i even know that? I was referring to the original posting of that image.

If you read the article you'll see that those heat maps were generated by clicks on the rung which best described the extent of a persons moral circle. It states that this is their highest moral allocation by ideology.

It in no way claims that liberals "care more about "(15) all natural things in the universe including inert entities such as rocks" compared to caring more about "(7) all people in your country", as you say.

It is simply states that liberals distribute their empathy in larger circles.

right - that's what he had to resort to

"you're gonna get beat up and knifed if you ever come to Europe!" all because he doesn't like the fact that my view differs from his and he thinks that i should think the way he thinks....

i grew up in the largest and greatest melting pot on the planet - growing up, i didn't even think people were different just by their skin color or whatnot - and i watched Sesame Street and the Electric Company and Whats Happening - all black people - and it never cross my mind that anybody was different than the next - never

I still think liberals are amongst the dumbest people on the planet…I have a girl that works for me and she just up and changed her name to “silver” one day, nose rings purple hair the whole stereotype, and as I’m sure you can imagine just an terrible employee
 
if they were liberal as they claim to be, they would accept everybody for who they are and how they think - you would live and let live and not get caught up in others views

but if you don't think like a liberal, then you're beneath a liberal - that is their view
