I mean I don't know shit about brain function, but... does that "study" suggest that liberals actually care more about "inert entities such as rocks" than they do for their kids??? Liberals care more about "all mammals" than for they parents?? They care more about "paramecia and amoebae"&"allien lifeforms" than for their husband, wife or job???...
That is just plain stupid.
And for it being a "study" be careful when haters and fanatics are in scientific or religious disguises, they become even more harmful.

And the only idea of "moral circles" that somehow would allow them to make an individual's "brain moral map", no matter if liberal or conservative, make me puke and scares the shit out of me. It is the most medieval, sectarian, inquisitorial shit that I have heard or seen in many moons.

I know a lot of people is making money out of hate in the US political landscape but I truly thing someone else can foresee huge profit from eventually dramatic events that that level of hate may lead to one day

Both factions have to treat each other with disrespect, or they would start looking at their modern global mafia government.

It's well thought through. As long as 50% of people hate the other 50% it's fucking easy to control the mass and easy for people to blame the opposing 50% instead of the government. Gustave Le Bon would have a field day.

Look at the structure of the political system. There is no chance in hell a third party will ever join the two, and it makes for the possibility to keep this going until a civil war, where one faction, most likely the Republicans, no offense Dems, will emerge victorious.

It's absolutely brilliantly composed and the only other way out would be a French revolution type of deal. Or a military coup. Military is fucking powerful in the US. They could defo take power if they wanted.

you guys don't even have any good options, ever. Green party, economic party, social-democrat party, all these have no chance of ever making it, due to the fact that States vote(which btw makes your voice worthless if you're the political minority in a State)
so you don't really have any political choice. Nationalist fascists, or liberal fascists, those are literally your choices. Most people just align with their State's alignment, as they often wouldn't even be accepted in a State without having said opinion. Man and I got all this cheese from Krinkle for saying the country is fucking fascist. That's the stuff I mean. It's so damned fascist, forcing people into two camps, if that isn't fucked up I don't know what is. Germany literally did the same thing after WW1.

They want you to think that. And vice versa. You guys all don't have a choice, you usually are just "born" into your political beliefs, by which State you live in,
what your parents believe, and so on, meaning most ppl's political beliefs are almost entirely circumstantial.

We don't really discuss politics amongst each other, and I think that system works.
I have no fucking idea what party even my family members vote for. And I don't give a shit. Neither does anyone else really.
Who you vote for is your private decision, and it should stay private to you

I mean look at the whole “wipe out 10k student debt” that’s not a wiping out of debt it’s a transfer of debt to every other tax payer, it’s actually pretty pathetic i have to pay for some schmucks degree when I dropped out of highschool and probably make more then them

Dividing people without knowing them into good and bad categories is not a good thing, but the problem comes when you decide that the good people is those that match with  your opinion.

I would be all respect for a person who actually would say: "they are the good ones, they are right, they are most pure and clever, but I stand by my inferior believes cause they are mine". I would respect that person, but have to find him/ her yet

Umm, guy? I think you've interpreted that wrong.

If you read the article you'll see that those heat maps were generated by clicks on the rung which best described the extent of a persons moral circle. It states that this is their highest moral allocation by ideology.

It in no way claims that liberals "care more about "(15) all natural things in the universe including inert entities such as rocks" compared to caring more about "(7) all people in your country", as you say.

It is simply states that liberals distribute their empathy in larger circles.
