Multiple scripts in one month

My doctor has mentioned to me several times how it’s Impossible to have 2 Benzo scripts at once. Well, she recently decided to change my Xanax script to diazepam, 2 mg twice a day, and assumed CVS wouldn’t fill my Xanax anymore due to that. She obviously didn’t communicate anything to them or cancel the script herself since they have filled it today and it’s ready for pick up. I’ve argued this with her before after the pharma technicians themselves said it’s possible as long as the scripts are different, even if it’s the same exact Benzo but the mg amount or amount taken per day differs. So would it be bad to pick this Xanax up? Also, she upped the Xanax to 3 x a day from just 2 x, which has been my regular amount for years. So, I’m confused since she said herself she thought it would be automatically cancelled after she wrote a new script for diazepam. Thoughts?

GP's can give special script(for benzo) once monthly...Herw is like that...As to daily dose your doc.decide and write a script for all your monthly supply.Electronic scripts also exist....in some places they don't even write a script anymore.,all is online

It has to do with meds though, per MH being merged this is the closest forum to where it would go. I mean I guess the bottom line is, just go pick up your script idk why you wouldn't or what counsel we can possibly give you. Going to leave it open in case you have any questions about your meds that we actually can answer.
 
I suppose you run the risk of being put on a register, if one exists where you live like where I do, of filling more than one script at a time (or filling benzo scripts too fast). I would personally check that first before doing anything.
 
First be smart, and honest if cannot at least be careful and smart again!
It's funny here we have all electronic and only Subutex weekly but you need two papers and those two are given to pharmacist and he takes them and before doc gives you prescription she also put that in comp so no way of filling again in a week, as for her giving me pregabalin before or benzos I was literally shaking in front fam doc. and she can write f.e. one one month she gives me pregabalin 150x4 was my daily dose (without Xanax from my therapist so no xanax) but she next week gave me box of pregabalin 300mg box and box of Xanax XR2m and Diazepam 10mg, pharmacist cannot do anything here, there was a lady pharmacist who didn't gave on her like conscience contraceptive or for the next day, and there was a protest trughout the country! only Subutex and MPH or OXY goes through system(special paper and the nmr in book of narcotics, tramadol all benzos, gabapentinoids, like tomorrow morning I call her or just mail her and she prescribes Tramadol and I go to pharmacy any in the state and I tell lady my like social security number but it's similar and just pick up my med!
Interesting I always just was curious how is the procedure in the world so there you go!
