We need a better definition of what you mean by "these talks", because you and I are clearly not discussing the same thing. I'm suggesting logic and reason balanced with social norms and expectations. You're painting this as though I'm suggesting indifference to child predators or blatantly suggestion I harbor bad intentions just to be a self-righteous jackass hiding behind a fake pillar of wouldbe morality.

Don't try to bait me either. I'm not your enemy. The approval you seek comes only from the person in the mirror.

But it's all good. I respect the instinct to protect one's own family. Let's just not take unnecessary target and make enemies out of like-minded neighbors who were only ever looking out for them in the first place. Facts.

What passes for school is actually extended childcare. Teachers don't prepare children for eventual adulthood and shouldering responsibility anymore; now they teach students how they can extend their irresponsible behavior beyond childhood into their adulthood all the way to the grave.

it was about 20 years ago I was last at university so I have no idea how long our system has been screwed by marketing people and business management.

but that is a perfect description of how it is here now.

the school got me a good one last night.

I was sent an email from a lecturer to my school email talking about a chat bot seminar.

I was like excellent I have terrabytes of all kinds of pdf data I want to ai and chat bot neural net is just like that.

turn up and were dragging fuzzy faced muppets on the how do you feel box (when they could get it going)

then we get given these question to answer about there employment service and what we would want to ask an employment service.

just another way to shake the tree for free money from students.

get them to be a test ground for your apps for free.

I learnt nothing about chat bots and the one thing they did even close was bring up watson and tell me how hard it was to import a god damb csv file.

so no more seminars for me thanx.

there like amway distributors pushing there courses and services at any cost.

the only advice I gave them is I dont trust the school and would not let them get me a job and if they wished to change that

do what they make us do.

give metrics with integrity and back them up with tested peer review.

like that will ever happen.

Any adult talking about sex in school or organized school functions, in any respect unless pre-approved by parents. There will always be schoolyard discussions among children of the same age, but even this should be allowed but not encouraged.

Until the age of puberty it is the parent's decision.

How many times do I need to agree with you on this? EDIT: parents ultimately should have control but it wouldn't hurt to have material on hand should parents find they would like assistance on this particularly tricky topic. Make sense?

You literally asked for a better definition of "these talks" and I provided one.
 
Im just waiting for the day people are called bigots for not raising their kids “gender neutral” my niece LOVED the color pink pretty much from the day she was born, as a baby she would grab at pink things at the store always want her pink blankets ect

The point is you’re using just one experience, and not everyone’s is identical is all. It’s not such a big deal if a girl happens to prefer the color blue and does not deserve to be ostracized for feeling that way either. No one’s forcing any gender neutrality, stop being so fucking paranoid. I promise you we all have more in common than not, everyone on this thread. No sense making mountains out of mole hills.

Here's a bit of fun history

Until WWI all babies were dressed in white at birth. Around the time of WWI they started assigning different clothing for infants at hospitals, however Pink was assigned for Boys and Blue for Girls. It wasn't until WWII that they swapped the colors and use the present Blue for Boys and Pink for Girls.

So it is all rather arbitrary, isn't it?

Yes, I know. And babies / young children were all dressed as though girls until roughly that time as well. Or let’s keep pushing this until carried away. Every human fetus is initially female and will continue that way unless an X-chromosome is present, in which case testosterone is triggered instead, forming that human into a male – the clit is enlarged to become a penis while the labia fuse closed into the scrotum (hence the seam down the middle). This also explains we even men have nipples.

So sometimes what appears arbitrary is not
 
Tolerance, kindness, and humility.

Whatever you don’t want your kid to be or whatever group of ppl you hate? Watch out, that’s what your kid will become and/or whom they will bring home with them one day. But don’t take my word for it, just watch it unfold bc you practically guarantee it when you’re too adamant on those topics with your kids.

that is a amazing life accomplishment in itself , your obviously a good role model, you should be really proud

they'll teach them the medical and biological facts, no problem!
