Why is that? If you may explain pls, ty.
Sarcosine and l tyrosine are natural treatments for schizophrenia. L theanine is calming.

L-Tyrosine is used in the body to make the catecholamines dopamine (DA) and norepinephrine (NE), which can become depleted under stressful or cognitively challenging conditions. After supplementation, L-tyrosine levels in the blood peak after one to two hours, and stay elevated for up to eight hours

I see, ty for sharing. I'll definetly look into it later on in the day, after this lethargy has passed away.

Ahhh okay. I think we may have a bit of a confusion here.

@Dreeery did you mean the negative symptoms in the classical sense, negative as in the taking away of something e.g. anhedonia (taking away pleasure), social isolation (taking away socialisation), depression (taking away positive mood), etc.

Or did you mean negative symptoms as in bad side effects of the medications? Because I think @t_xeplionhell that's what you're talking about??

Either way, no they are most definitely not big pharma lies. They are definitely real symptoms that people experience. I'm not sure that I understand how you mean that they are a lie @t_xeplionhell
What I meant by negative symptoms is negative symptoms of psyhosis (anhedonia, akathisia, cognitive disfunction, apathia), they are purely induced by meds.

Hmm---can a regular doc prescribe me something for high prolactin or am I going to need to gamble and ask my psychs for that?

To be honest you're best just waiting for levels to go down naturally. I didn't want to listen myself & paid $370 aus to see an endocrinologist they're the only ones who can prescribe cabergoline or dostinex to lower prolactin. A regular doctor or psychiatrist can't. I did a prolactin level blood test & my regular doctor referred me to an endocrinologist the wait list is long I was lucky to get in earlier but still had to wait a while. After the first appointment she wanted me to do another blood test before she prescribed me anything. So I did another test & paid $270 for my second appointment but because my levels had gone down around 500 from 2171 she said they were going down naturally & she refused to prescribe me anything. I ordered cabergoline online from india. I took it for 1 month. It actually didn't even lower my prolactin levels they only went down 85 in that 6 week period. The only difference is I didn't fast before that blood test but had for the one which my levels were around 500 lower so they would've been slightly higher from not fasting but the cabergoline still should've lowered them so much more. Also I did wake up one night & was fainting while laying in bed I was blacking out & had extremely loud ringing in my ears I definitely think it was from the cabergoline. I had been so excited to try it because I had read it improves mood, sex drive, hair & even helped some people lose weight. It has so many good reviews. But it can also make people go into psychosis.
The invega is still in your system to you'd need to wait for alot of it to be out of your system anyway because your prolactin levels lowers as it leaves your system.
Sorry to give you bad news I wouldn't have listened myself & wanted to try it myself but just thought I'd let you know my experience. My levels are still at 828 but they lowered around another 400 then around 300. The normal range in Australia is 85-500.
It's so frustrating but really all you can do is wait.
Maybe try eating foods that naturally lower prolactin or supplements like ashwagandha. I tried it myself & it made me nauseous but I do want to try it again because it has good reviews

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you Nina. I wish we could help you more or speed up the process in some way. I truly hope that one day very soon something clicks and you start to feel a bit better. I really wish that for you. I think about you every day and hope for the best for you <3
What I am living is so horrible. I think I should not had been placed on this meds. I read that you don't use neuroleptics for a first episode of psychosis. During 3 days I took Risperdal drops my psychosis disappeared. They should have stopped there. But here in Spain they give Xeplion for anything now in hospitals. But people don't take it as bad as me. It has terribly unbalanced my brain. I was needed no sleeping pills at all and now I have no sleep at all. This is killing me. I don't recover anything of dopamine and I don't see any case that is as bad as mine. I don't think I will heal. They have destroyed my life. I am just all day suffering in bed scrolling Twitter with nobody to help me. Why me? Why so bad? I had a life before the injections even with 2 I could do some things.

I was contacted by J&J pharmacovigilance to follow my case for legal reasons but this is not helping me.

I understand. Well my prolactin is honestly not even that high (I had 18 ng/ml two weeks ago while normal range is 0-13), I kinda just wanted a prescription because of prolactin meds also being dopamine agonists and money certainly can't be the issue when fighting against the paliperidone symptoms. I feel sort of in a rush and really want to start having feelings again (not just emotions but rather the ability to love things, people and actually feel things through music and other media) and it's strangely bothering me more than the other physical symptoms I'm having

My life is completely monstrous because of Xeplion. I can do nothing during the day and I cannot sleep It is a permanent torture. Nobody is as bad as me. All for a mild and unique episode of psychosis.

That's why I write so much in here. I have nothing else to do and no support from my family

How long have you gone without sleep?

When I was on Invega I took two Advil pm and two 10mg melatonin to sleep…my sleep would be broken but I’d have energy during the day and would walk like 15km and was able to lose weight….now that I’m on Ziprasidone all I do is sleep and feel so out of it and have gained 7 pounds. My prolactin went back to normal and that made no difference in things at all. To be honest I’m thinking of switching back to Invega even though I had side effects. At least I was a functioning human all day long and was in the gym and losing weight. Invega really isn’t that bad compared to ziprasidone. I have no hope on ziprasidone and all. I had a psychosis that went undiagnosed from 2019 to 2020 and that was hell. Nothing is the same when taking antipsychotics but at least on Invega I was up at 6:00am ready for the day and working out.

Sounds like invega didnt affect you too badly. Most people on invega say there bedridden. So its nice to hear that invega has helped you. Did you have cognitive problems on invega like brain fog or trouble concentrating?

I’m getting a little frustrated with recovery. It’s been two months since my last 39mg shot. I think I might be having discontinuation symptoms. I feel so groggy and blah. Exercise is so hard for me to do. I just have no energy. It feels as bad or worse as when I was getting the shots. Did anyone else get worse before you got better?

I had a lot of side effects puffy eyes, weird twitch in my arm, chest pain, I couldn’t stand still I always felt like I had to pace a bit. The cognitive problems suck…I used to be a wiz with song lyrics and now I can barley recite a song which is annoying and while running I felt like I couldn’t move my legs fast to make good times. But at least I was running. Ziprasidone I can’t do anything I just sleep. It’s really bad. On ziprasidone (geodon) I just get to exhausted to do anything. Both have effected me cognitively. I’m nothing like I was before

My last Invega shot was in December 2021 and I don’t really feel much improvement and it’s been 7 months.

Did anyone get worse when they came off before they got better? It’s been two months since my last shot and I feel like I’m getting worse.

Does anyone know if st johns wort makes you recover faster? I think st johns wort increases your dopamine so there should be some logic in it helping you recover faster.

Well, I don't 🤷 thank God for that; I guess my body just adapted to the invega and since then it has gotten a lot better... 0% anhedonia right now.

Plus not everyone has the same medication side-effects on these drugs, maybe I just got lucky :) thank God for that, again.
Invega and haldol are completely different chemicals but work in same way and haldol is even worse. You most likely just got used to almost 0 dopamine/serotonine and forgot how is it to be pre invega/ap and now you think it has no effect on you, sadly. And keep in mind also that ap don't work instantly.

I heard horrible stories about haldol and many people died from it or got terrible disfunctions and some can't even move properly. Haldol can cause tardive diskenisia more easily than other ap.
