Think I broke my toe or a metatarsal last night - my own fault really - kicking things while barefoot - bit of an ouchie today

Basically I mentioned to the Mrs that I'd had some tightness around my chest area and shooting pains in my left arm. She only went and grassed me up to the docs.
Clearly she wants to make sure you stick around for longer!

Good luck with the results; rooting for the all clear!

Thanks mate! But I'm determined to be the first one to go. I'm not having her die before me and leave me with all that shit to deal with...

Just taken the lad to see the new version of Top Gun.

Load of shite.
Mrs wanted to go to the local imax to watch it, but fuck paying £30 a ticket. I’ll pirate it and not have to listen to people slurping and clapping their chops. Plus, I can pause it when I need a piss or a top up.

Went to a festival today but difference being it was a sober event i.e. no bars etc lol it was actually well good! The stone roses tribute band, some hip hop and djs. Everyone was dancing and when they dropped strings of life by Derrick may I got goosebumps 🙂 good times and it's inspired me to put some effort in and finish some tunes, might even put a wee set together and try and play them live eventually.
And I just want to add cause when is it not appropriate....fuck Boris get him to fuck
😉

saw this. fucking love blaire white, but alex jones is amusing but very lacking in basic science understanding. or deliberately sensationalising things.....

what i think he means by animal-human hybrid or like goat-spider or whatever, is that one or two genes that are orthologous between the two species have been modified, so that the goat has the spider version. its not lke an 8 legged goat or anything. literally just a gene or two modified. fucking cool imo. but not a hybrid by any normal interpretation of the word.

Yeah, Blaire is a good value creator

Alex Jones I find amusing - he's blustery AF but there are some shreds of truth in his twisted web despite all the hyperbole

Try saying that to Tina the the eight beaked octohen that lives in the bushes

Had the best Chicken Madras in a long time a little earlier - very very good - a little hotter than I had expected so had to have a small glass of milk handy but so flavoursome - not many Indians here do BIR style so some dishes can be very hit and miss but I have this guy as my new favourite now - open kitchen, one man show and he does slow food - need to be prepared to wait 45 minutes but levels ahead of everybody else around town

Nice garlic naan on the side too - belch!

I prefer beef in a madras, I find it holds the flavour better than chicken can. But it has to be slow cooked so the beef is to tender you could eat it without teeth, that kinda tender. I do love a good garlic naan too. Like, have that shit dripping in garlic butter.

I'm hungry.

who'se hyped for the 4 day weekend? anyone got any plans? i'm going camping with my work bff.

this might actually make me pro monarchist, when else do we get extra bank holidays?

Believe it or not, I fuckin hate bank holidays. In my job the work just stacks up and we have to work extra hard before and after to keep on top of things.

Taking annual leave is a bleeding nightmare...

Not taken any leave since November - booked three days at the end of the month as my lot are away for a week...could spell trouble

In my precovid times gig I loved bank holidays because I would cover them and be able to get some real work done with many idiots out of our way, plus I would collect the days I worked on them in lieu each calendar year and use them to more than double my annual paid leave

My subordinates liked it too; double or triple pay depending on time of day

it is actually really nice that you are invested enough in your job for this to be an issue. unless your boss is just a slave driver and the pressure comes from them.

i'm invested in my job but it doesn't build up in the same way as its all very long involved projects.
