Wars, Invasions, & Imperialism Thread v. Ukraine & Russia

that is quite simplified, but technically true.

Yknow it's easy for you guys to talk about this so non-chalantly, you are not the people that are going to die if nuclear measures are being used to end the European conflict or Europe is taken by ground warfare. Bit krass, to say the least.

OK let's say he didn't attack: Ukraine joins NATO, wonderful peaceful NATO. EU is going to buy oil from NATO partner Ukraine, the plan was already in movement, Shell, etc. all bought a share of this. Where does Russia fit into this now? Russia relies on their oil, heavily. This is their #1 source of money.
Also, NATO installs military "defense systems", as always. Russia makes a wrong move after that, taking Moskau is only a matter of a few days, no need to go the way Germany did 2 times and walk through the plain to the Ural, which is an impossible fucking attack.

I'm a bit surprised you see this conflict from just this one side, kind of sad. You're very smart and you should use that to look at all the aspects of this conflict. It's way over 8 years old, might also say it started with Yugoslavia, where lovely peaceful NATO bombed the fucking shit out of a country in the 90s, let's not forget that. And that country is right next to us. Takes me 3-4 hours to ex-Yugoslavia.

This fucking war the US has provoked in Europe is a fucking shame, and you're not the people who are going to die from vehemently provoking and provoking and provoking Russia time and time again. Germany is so fucking crucial to Europe, once the Cold War heats up we're dead. But thank you, US for financing coup after coup in Europe to get us where we are now. It's not like the fight is happening any close to you. The Ukraine is about the distance to Berlin from here.

Yes it is absolutely fucked up that Russia is attacking, but this attack didn't just happen over night. Russia took it up the ass from the NATO for 30 years. Since the 90s state after state joined them and Russia said "stop, you promised", and it didn't stop. Now there's a fucking war, just as the US government planned. Don't.provoke.Russia.

Fuckfaces.

oh... poor Germany

now here come the Germans.....don't provoke them either right?

i have looked at it from all sides and the one glaring thing that im seeing is Russian troops in the Ukraine shelling the shit out of another country - how smart do i need to be to see what's wrong there? the Russian plan is to flatten the entire country like they did with Aleppo and parts of Syria - they flattened them indiscriminately

and yea they were ethnically cleansing parts of Yugoslavia - we all tried to mind our own business on that until we all decided that somebody needed to step in - so we all did - NATO helped to end that conflict whether you believe it or not

so in the meantime, should we just let Russia push everybody around so we don't poke the bear?

you can hate the US all you want - but we keep balance - they do the same shit we do - they try install to pro-moscow governments everywhere just like we try to influence pro-west everywhere

sometimes those worlds collide

bombing an entire country over it should be obsolete in this point in time

dont we agree there?

ok

watch this:

they ran out of gas and they can't even turn around

and Gypsies stole a Russian tank

Looks like Russia is gaining on Kiev from the East

Man price of gas is crazy right now, went up over .20$ overnight…who was the genius who decided to cut down our oil production and buy from Russia….
Every time oil has been 50% above its trendline it was either during a recession or a recession followed. We could see some fire sales on certain assets in a year or less if its a bad recession.

Not a huge fan of online silver pumper accounts, but this is a good point and shouldn't be ignored imo

Assessment from the group that made the map:

So now President Zelenskyy is now hiding in a bunker and should be ashamed because he had a career as a comedian? He was offered evacuation by the US government and said “the fight is here” and that he needed anti-tank ammunition, “not a ride.”
This stuff just reeks of Trump supporter rhetoric. Everyone is always hiding in a bunker. It is classic projection. The only one who we know for a fact was in a bunker was Donald Trump. He spent the night in a bunker when peaceful protestors had paper signs out in front of the White House. Ever since that incident he has been accusing everyone of hiding in a bunker. He must feel really embarrassed. He also was in numerous television commercials and movie cameos, he just wasn’t funny. Does that make it less shameful?
The way Trump supporters are taking up the mantle of pro-Russia rhetoric just because he has made this his next order and they carrying it out is disturbing and disgusting. First he withholds aid to Ukraine and now he is making his foot soldiers malign decent men and women who are acting in bravery. While he is a coward. Who acts only in self interest.
I will never understand the lack of empathy and critical thinking it takes to look at this situation and feel nothing. To have no doubts about your allegiance to this man who has done nothing but be out for himself his whole life. When even Russians are risking their freedom to protest against Putin. When Russian soldiers are surrendering, and sabotaging their vehicles rather then fight. All of that and we have people here who can be so devoid of compassion and self awareness. They think they know better then the whole world. What ignorance and arrogance.
I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I wasn't moking him for sitting in a bunker fearing for his life. I was mocking the other poster saying he is the one that should be ashamed for political postering when Putin brought this hell down on his people. It was sarcasm.

Sorry 😞

It’s called giving a fuck about human beings aka compassion also known as empathy.
No it isn't. Because those same people didn't give a toss about 10K+ dead Ukrainians in the civil conflict since 2014.
They literally give a fuck about whatever the deceptive news media tells them to give a fuck about.
Now they're virtue-signalling like crazy.
Pathetic.

Also I like how the people who claim to care about human lives turn into bloodthirsty warmongers whenever it's a Russian that dies.

All the problems in the World are caused by everybody else, never by the United States.

Jesus, look at the European map concerning NATO and their growth in the past 30 years and tell me who's trying to "not poke the bear"
They are poking the bear, again and again. And then some more. And then again. And again.

The first thing Putin did when he got to presidency was "Hey, can I join NATO?"
And our response was "fuck off", not as harsh, but that was the essence.

Yeah it should be obsolete, but both Russia and US do it,
I'm fucking angry at both. But the fucking NATO started this whole "going further east",
there was nothing to be gained from taking allies away from Russia other than to poke the bear, the opposite is true actually we had to spend lots of money to bring those countries to NATO standards,
i.e armed to the teeth.

NATO let Germany in. Ex-Nazi Germany. But not Russia.
Please tell me again people are trying "not to poke the bear", because that is fucking bullshit.
How is that not the fucking worst insult you've ever heard made to a country?
"Yeah we let the Nazis in that systematically murdered people in the millions, but you are too much our enemies"

They want war in Europe. They want to be at a point where we all have to clash with Russia so Russia gets weakened.
I mean stay with your opinion, it's not the US that is going to be fucked if this war starts.

It is so obvious that this whole situation was provoked by the West.
