Avengers is pretty stupid, too. One of the main characters throws a shield at people. Avengers is definitely less stupid than Eternals, but it's still stupid.
I'm tired of watching Hollywood people in tight costumes zapping each other with magical powers. There's not much difference between Hollywood audiences and wrestling fans. People always say wrestling is fake, but it's actually less fake than the movies.
Endgame was better than the other Avenger films.
I'm looking forward to Spiderman: No Way Home.
There are superhero franchises I still appreciate, but these latest Marvel films. Captain Marvel, Eternals, Wonder Woman. They are all fucking awful because they're being adapted from awful source material.
The name - Captain Marvel - is pretty much the laziest thing somebody (who works at a comic book company called Marvel) could come up with.
What's the next Marvel TV show?
Ms. Marvel.
Most of the time they make female characters in comic books they just flip the gender of a male character. Batgirl. Supergirl. Spider-Woman. She-Hulk. Aquagirl. Batwoman. Etc.
I think there's a female version of every male superhero character.
There's also some male versions of female characters (like Wonder-man), but they don't account for a large portion of our big hitters... Although, I guess, even the original female characters seriously lack inspiration. It baffles me to see modern women embracing Wonder-woman for so many reasons.
I don't like the combined Marvel universe. I don't think they should squash beloved franchises together like that. It'd be better if these super teams actually made sense.
Think about the line-up in Justice League & The Avengers. Superman needs Batman's help? Thor needs Hawkeye?
Also, they keep having to come up with these ridiculous excuses. In Eternals, they ask the question why they didn't help out with Thanos during the Endgame shit... and they explain that they were told not to interfere in any human affairs that don't involve the deviants.
Here's an idea: don't have Star Wars, Monkey Island and Indiana Jones exist in the same universe. That way you don't have to find some stupid fucking reason to justify it.
Why the fuck is Kumail Nanjiani a super hero? He's about as convincing as slapping a costume on a fucking housecat... but, hey, they exceeded their diversity quota.
There's even a deaf character in Eternals, Makkari.
In the comics, the character was a white male who could hear. Now the character is a black deaf woman. She is deaf because her ability is super speed and she can move faster than the sound barrier. According to this logic: Superman should be deaf and blind.
There's also a gay character. They should have Superman transition into Superwoman in the next Man of Steel film.
Maybe the next Batman film could include a hand-job from Robin? (Actually, I would pay to see that.)
