Why is weed mainly smoked?

I don't care what anyone says, but you can't beat a spliff.

Fuck these dibs, dabs, dobs and blobs - just shove it in three skins, light up and smoke the fucker.

Weed ingestion is getting far too complicated these days...
hmm, I just put your 'complicated' comment to the test.

I had to go into another room, find me stash, pick out around 40mg Kosher Kush live resin with a dab tool, heat the nectar collector, dab the tool on it, inhale, hold, and blow out the vapour (minimum estimate 30mg thc). High as fuck within 10 seconds of exhale.

The whole process from leaving my chair to being high as fuck was 42 seconds.

so... :)

Far too fuckin long in my opinion... :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, try doing all that shit tripping your tits off outside in the dark.

Give me 3 skins, some baccy, a match and a lighter and I can skin up fuckin anywhere pal...

yea that's a process...gotta get your dab ready, then get the torch out, heat it up.....that's too much for me too

Vaping just flower effeciently, you get instant effects. On tap too.

In my own mind, there is no way I need to smoke, even if allergies permitted now, to get everything I need out of herb, fast, no fuss, to full effect and extra bang for buck.

Like 40% they reckoned long back. Over time for myself this has definitely checked out.

I'm the sort of lazy cunt that finds having to grind weed too much of a pain in the arse and involves too much paraphernalia.

Hash joint - Hash, skins, baccy, lighter. Job done. And when the pigs come busting through your door, the only thing you need to get rid of is the Hash.

True, I used to have all kinds of bongs, bubblers, pipes, you name it... Now I only smoke spliffs, it delivers the best high IMO (+ rolling is fun), but they're also way more addictive due to the synergy between thc and nicotine (and a few other compounds from tobacco).

Vaping can be nice as well and definitely less harmful to the lungs, although weed smoke doesn't seem to be super harmful either (at least when compared to tobacco). I vape once in a while, it's either spliffs of vape for me.

Edibles have their time and place, it's just an entirely different experience. When it comes to weed I want a quick onset and a medium duration. Being super stoned for many hours isn't really something I desire, I'd rather smoke/vape again if I'm looking to prolong my high.

It also comes down to your personal "ritual" which is at least as important as the delivery method (smoking, eating, etc.).

Bloody well said!!

Like @ions said, just make your own gravity bong. I must say, this is a clever idea, but again, I feel like this could be home-made for a much cheaper price than $600.

Grinding helps automate a trivial task. That's like buying a block of cheese and complaining about having to grind it. Of course, you could buy shredded cheese, but shredding your own tastes better. But with weed that would be like buying a bag of shake – it's usually a bit stale. Sometimes you get out of something what you're willing to put into it. And also, you're really sweating a paraphernalia charge like that?

This really assumes one likes tobacco. Otherwise, yuck. Tobacco stench lingers forever, sticking to hair and clothes. As an American from the U.S. I have noticed the tendency for Europeans and Australians to smoke “spliffs” of blended tobacco and cannabis over just purely cannabis. As if a hash pipe is hard to use…
And when the pigs come busting through your door, the only thing you need to get rid of is the Hash.
Wait, what? Why are the pigs busting through your door? Sounds like you might have more important things to "get rid of" if law enforcement is kicking down your door, right? Lol

Yeh, that's a fair point.

However, edibles just take too long to kick in.

My somewhat limited experience with edible cannabis usually goes something like this:

T + 1 minute - "hope I've not taken too much"

T + 2 hours - "hmm, it's finally starting to work, still hope I've not taken too much"

T + 2 hours 1 minute - "Zzzzzzzzzz"

T + 10 hours - "well that was a fuckin waste of time. Slept well though..."

The beauty of smoking is you feel the effects in seconds, and you can just stop when you've reached the level you want to be at.
Here's how it goes for me.

T + 1 minute - "Alright, time to chill out."
T + 1-2 hour(s) - Starting to feel the effects
T + The rest of the duration - Everything feels better

People go on and on about the beauty and how it's instant but the beauty in gummies is that it slowly creeps up on you. And then, finally, it hits you so hard you just wanna rock out for the entire time. Yeah, I've had some highs that ended because I fell asleep, but that's a small minority.

The highs are different though, so obviously we all have some bias here. I've heard that a smoking high makes every thought feel like an impactful one, that seems pretty lame if you ask me when I could just take an edible and feel a thousand emotions at once.

I think this is simply a case of acclimating because in years past I experienced taking THC and not feeling fully competent immersed in society and in any formal or informal social situation like going into an electronics repair shop for example.

Or simply turning up at work lol.

But several years ago at least this ceased to be a factor in my reality and I wish I did get really stoned and feel some sort of diminishment of my general mental social and communicating faculties as well as my total rootedness and confidence in myself as a person without having to think or feel anxiety or under pressure.

But I did experience it the other way in the past I don't think it's just tolerance this is definitely a factor but as with psychedelics and mental development I swear there is a consciousness factor.
My functioning actually was improved by cannabis I worked, had a social life and had no mental problems.

My ex-wife on the other hand did influence these three.

Yes, I think so. Working with the mind and personality and imagination and the multiple layers of emotional healing and growth we need to work through in life it's a challenging and difficult process which will always start from the ground up and I believe that using cannabis which is a plant psychedelic when done relatively proactively if even just on a subconscious level by intention of the mindsets
and in the focus and desire of the person....

I feel it can help us to actually make continual steps of progress in this direction of development because I am genuinely a massively more developed person today in terms of assurance in myself and my core personality in real life I mean than I have ever been and all of the people who have known me since ever but I have not seen me for a long time are absolutely stunned to see what appears to be a complete version of myself like they never would have seen before even though I've been through hell and I am not living any sort of normal life yet.

I have picked up that you yourself seem to possess similar natural inclination towards long-term commitment to resolving inner conflict and past traumas and developing and strengthening your own personality and consciousness.

Keep it up.

Chillums can be fking wicked you know too.

And the silliest way to get high is on old school 3 litre tight sealed bag-bucket, with a specialised gauze holding 1.8 grams of hash of black, extracted fully in one or two pulls.

That was insane stoning.

Eating 5-6 grams of Goldseal black and hashish too.

Joints aren't the only way. Nor the best, fastest, most convenient, most potent, and certainly least core medicinal, and most health damaging.

Those, are facts!

Most people who use cannabis or do not still remain completely unaware of what vaporizing the plant can feel like and what sort of technology is available now to achieve this.

It will go over their heads into retirement age for many for many others it has become a wondrous renovation in the cannabis using lifetimes.

Right. More Mexicn Airlines Sativa from 2021, 8 month cure now. Buzzes me. Vaporizing atm.

So instant to get high. Too easy to get too high.

Thank you Auto Tripper

There is this this song writer singer, what's her name?
Who said she had the nose. Which what I think she mentioned, Billy Eilish, was that some of us are super sensitive.

She could smell her brother's feet. I smell my own.

Sativa is Hemp, so high in CBD low THC.

Just read that.

A semantical matter surely?

Yes I know, Sativa is an official label for hemp.

But also long held reference to high or regular THC full spectrum cannabis, with uplifting cerebral energetic, consciousness stimulating effects, in contrast to the more stoney, sedative, heavy, couchlock effect profile.

Which also incidently dampens thinking, consciousness temporarily, depending on the exact strain ofc.

So Sativa Dominant Autoflower is exactly by description and label in the cannabis world what I have been using last 3 days, just now again.

With some special 2019 Northern Cheese Haze, by Mephisto Genetics, an Autoflower too, but a 50/50 hybrid. i.e equal degree of Sativa and Indica effect.

I am no schooler at all. But I have some grasp over cannabis on a number of levels.

It's been so ingrained into my life from....birth!

I don't get excited about "new"...flashy science and all.

It's excellent though that genuine, benevolent science showed the world unquestionably that cannabis is ultimately a very good thing.

Depending on THE cannabis though, IMO..

Here it is. See the standard clear difference in bud structure and colas.

The NCH Haze, indica like.

The Mexican Airlines, real Sativa like colas.

It's as rustic, organic, untouched, preserved, cured, clean, as it gets really. As you see.

No trimming. Just twist off a bud at a time, break unvapeworthy leaves off, and protected underneath is some special, crystalised Sativa dominant weed.

Those 62% Humidipaks really are worthwhile too. 2.6 years old is the NCH.

It's amazing gorgeous weed still. Good as ever.

This is too imprecise for a lot of people I think. Most other drugs come on sooner than this.

As a general rule, I don't like for things to “creep up” on me. Sounds… homicidal.
And then, finally, it hits you so hard you just wanna rock out for the entire time.
Or you spend a couple hours trying to ward off sleep before finally caving and passing out still fully dressed…

So wait, you've never smoked or vaporized weed, you've only ever orally consumed it? Well, your first-pass metabolism converts delta 9 THC into another psychoactive compound, at least partially, and this is thought to be part of why edibles produce such a noticeably different high. Meanwhile the rest of us have done all the RoAs and can knowledgeably compare our own personal experiences. You should catch up with the rest of us. Otherwise, don't knock it until you try it.
that seems pretty lame if you ask me when I could just take an edible and feel a thousand emotions at once.
Ok so to you having profound thoughts one after the other seems lame compared to feeling "a thousand emotions at once?" To me the latter sounds very overwhelming and, as you put it: lame. But everyone's different, except they're not, and there are good reasons why smoking cannabis is the vastly preferred route of administration over oral ingestion.
