A valid perception. Illness and death are real, they carry emotional weight. But making the connection to something you can't perceive i.e. a virus, and saying the two are linked together.. that's the delusion, not the original perception.i think perception of a fever, headache, etc is as valid perception as my eyes, i am a living thing.
Not knowing why you're ill carries just as much weight as being ill. I think this is why people are reluctant to embrace any challenge to the virus concept. In the same way people are reluctant to embrace any challenge to our cosmological story, such as the universe being infinite. Western people like linearity and certainty, we like having something to externalize and project on to, especially for our fears. An enemy to fight. Our entire society works on this principle, whether the enemy by another nation, domestic groups we can marginalize, or an invisible pathogenic invader. We like to attack our enemies instead of deconstructing our fears.
I'm not a luddite or sympathizer of the unabomber philosophy, though I respect the fact their intuitions were correct about mans ability to create technology far outpacing his ability to use it wisely. Technological progress does not automatically grant psychological or spiritual progress. Look no further than tiktok.I find it hilarious how these luddites don't see the irony that the technological advances made possible by the very physics they ridicule are giving them the means to spew pseudo anti-science drivel like this.
The same applies to those using technology for science and discovery. I'm not 'anti-science'. I have a healthy respect for mans ability to delude himself (and others). People like you think science is this monolithic entity that shall not be challenged by such simple thoughts from such simple minded people like myself. It's not about me being 'anti-science', it's about you being 'pro-delusion'. The things I mentioned before: black holes, neutron stars, dark matter, all these are demonstrably nonsense. Mathematical garbage that can not be tested, measured, recreated, except on paper. The same holds true for viruses (in computer modelling, not paper).
