This is the difference between the working class and the middle class. The working class can't wait to get rid of their kids because they cost a fuckin fortune.

The middle class however, haven't got a fucking clue...

I'm not always drunk when I'm stoned, but I'm always stoned when I'm drunk

Helps me drink less and be nicer

I'm slightly different there.

I'm not always stoned when I'm drunk, but I'm always drunk when I'm stoned.

But being stoned definitely makes me a nicer drunk...

What kind of vehicle does Frankenstein drive ? ?
A MONSTER TRUCK.
you're usually sunny but that joke is so lame i think the truck ran it over!

anyway back to highly important matters

when I'm drunk is in an alternative reality cos I never get drunk as it doesn;t agree with me and am also just a lightweight

I do get a bit tipsy on occasion though! (ooh er, get me)

When I'm tipsy I'm occasionally stoned, but I'm rarely tispy when I'm stoned

I'm definitely fukkin stoned when I'm stoned though, so there

Climbed a small mountain today, in 35c heat

Good to get a sweat on, and been a while since I did such a perilous climb as I had at one point around halfway up

fucking hell!!

though surely the point of going up high is to get out of the heat? was it like 45c further down?

i climbed toubkal and olympus in september. the mittikas peak of olympus was fucking terrifying:

don't think i'll summit any more mountains, i just went cos i needed to get out the country and options were limited due to covid. it felt amazing to get to the top but i just like nice hiking really, not death marches starting at 5am. i was on my arse about 10 times on my way down toubkal.

A few friends from my uni days have decided they are doing Mt. Everest, (well, to the base camp at least) and invited me along. Now this initially took me by surprise, because they're all as fat and as (un)fit as I am, but upon learning a little more, they are taking a helicopter up as a group, a few shots (both liquid and photos) then you're whisked away in the helicopter again.

Not exactly what I'd consider "conquering Everest"

Last "mountain" I did was in Turkey during a heatwave, wouldn't recommend that. Did a few in the Peak District recently, but they don't count.

what a joke. surely they're looking at at least £10k for that too?

everest has no draw for me exactly for stuff like that. plus i'm too squeamish to even be able to cope with the idea of an open grave yard.

i really wanna go hiking in kyrgyzstan and tajikistan cos they're supposed to have sweet mountains.

I didn't get as far as pricing, but did see it's max of 5 people up to a weight limit of 250kg for everyone, over that you get split into a few helicopters, and if so have to fly from different spots, which makes the cost go up. Flights alone were around £2,500 each, then the fee's, travel and accommodation.. Not for me. If I wanted to blow that kind of money, it would involve cocaine and a few ladies of the night.

not many groups of 5 are gonna be 250kg....

i'm tallish for a girl or average/sligthly below for a man and 50kg is comfortably in the anorexic weight range for me. not going back down to 43kg just so an extra person can ride that was not a good time in my life.

if i wanted to blow that money i would fly me and my boyf first class to somewhere with cheap cocaine. no hookers though.

Mainly did it to tire out my kids, think it backfired on me as we have to hike a mountain to a bloody waterfall now tomorrow and I'm stiff and tired lol

Mind you, I was also out until 7am today

sounds sweet man.

your kids will thank you for making the effort. though my mum and dad are still married he is a workaholic so we didn't get to do many activities with him as kids. i forgive him cos i was mostly in my own head my own childhood so didn't notice so much, but my sister did and thus doesn't.

Your sister sounds a little harsh tbh.

You shouldn't criticise your parents for doing what you will inevitably end up doing yourself.

Tell her I said so... ;)

yeah i think she's a bit harsh.

she never complained about us never having to worry about bills except that one time we nearly lost our house, or getting taken on holiday to glasgow as kids.

but seriously, we had some rocky times when i was under 10, never close to real poverty though. but working all the time paid off so we started going abroad on holiday and stuff and even paid for me to go to private school. if he hadn't put that work in, we would never have had any of the privelege we had, but he earned it for us.

I used to dream of going to Glasgow on holiday as a kid.

(Still do actually... 😜 )
