False. They've been after his tax records from private sector before he ran. During Presidency, he had to separate himself from all business obligations for the exact reason you cite. Nobody is going after his finances during or after Presidency.

They wanted his tax returns because they were pursuing some quixotic quest of digging into his business dealings with Russia, in connection with their deranged Russia conspiracy theories

Trump’s history as a businessman was actually not very prominent during his 2016 run, which is strange and unfortunate, as it allowed him to get away with all kinds of ridiculous claims about it. But all of that relevant info got overshadowed by the 2016 dumpster fire

This would be a whole lot more feasible if education cost a reasonable amount. Saddling brand new adults with 50 grand of debt or more to get the basic degree that is required to enter a career in something besides the trades causes people to fall behind for a decade or more, whereas in previous times this was not an issue, school could be paid while attending. I agree that people should pay back loans, but the cost of school is absolutely insane and out of control.

in an ironic twist, he'll likely be in line for a stiffer sentence due to a new law championed by republicans in florida which makes defacing a memorial a felony.
