Zimmerman had a strange fetish for following black folk around was he always paranoid that BBC was better than what he had packing?. Zimmerman racially profiled every black person that walked around and would call the police station hundreds of times a month. He had some crazy obsession. Black lives matter is about police brutality. Zimmerman wasn't police.

Another difference is unlike most of these examples with the cops, Zimmerman was actually in the right.

BLM can include anything related to the BLM movement and racial discussions, of which George Zimmerman and Trayvon Martin fits here and I thought it would be the best place to encourage more discussion on the topic.

You know the funny thing is. I actually don't give a shit if Zimmerman was a racist. I don't give a shit if Zimmerman was following Martin cause he thought to himself "he's black and blacks are always up to no good!".

I don't care because it makes absolutely no difference morally or legally.

The only question that's relevant is, would a reasonable person in Trayvon Martin's position think the appropriate reaction is to punch Zimmerman in the face, to which the answer is absolutely not. And would a reasonable person think their life was in danger if they were attacked like Zimmerman was, and the answer is yes. For the record "reasonable person" in this context is basically a legal term more or less referring to the average jury. A bunch of wanna be gangsta losers aren't a "reasonable person" because no jury is gonna be made up entirely of them.

I've said it a million times before, don't act like a loser street punk attacking people because you think they're a racist, and then you won't get shot.

Trayvon Martin attacked first, he started the use of violence. People just wanna take his side because he was black and because he was young. But it's total bullshit. Being black or young in no way justifies attacking someone without provocation (thinking they're following you isn't provocation).

Don't attack people in the street, then you won't have to worry about your victims being armed and shooting you.

Trayvon Martin was an idiot who's stupidity caused him to die before he could grow up and maybe, just maybe mature out of this idiotic street mentality. That's unfortunate, but life ain't fair and not everyone gets unlimited chances to get away with acting like a retard.

Zimmerman was never justifed in shooting trayvon. Zimmerman was told to leave him alone by the call centre but nope racist white man wanted to get travyon who was almost in his own house.

In no western country are you allowed to use potentially lethal force against someone simply because you believe they're following you.

The 911 operator only told Zimmerman that they didn't need him to keep following Martin, that's it. That's not an order and even if it were the operator doesn't have the authority to give such an order anyway.

Zimmerman was within his legal rights to keep an eye on what he thought was a burglar. Whether he was right or not in that assessment is irrelevant.

Zimmerman had broken no laws. The only laws broken were when Trayvon Martin attacked him without warning like a pathetic thug. He used potentially lethal force (punching someone in the head can kill or permanently injure them) and Zimmerman was in the right using potentially lethal force in response.

You wanna act like a loser wanna be street gangsta or some shit, you risk dying like one. It's pathetic. Don't initiate the use of violence. It's that fucking simple.

You start the use of violence, you are in the wrong. Period.

I will never engage in violence without a good reason and that reason is usually good enough that the other parties don't get police involved. But jail is bullshit most people go to jail because the entire system from childhood is stacked agains't them. All the state abuse in the boy homes from the 1970's led to the gang violence we have today and broken generations. I learn very fast to never disrespect people on the street or look at them. Thats the way of life here. People can live in cotton wool wrapped bubble their entire life but if they come here with the wrong vision of what this country is truly like and goes to the wrong town or street and not their white havens and disrespects the culture they will get a violent beating. People are not into murder really in NZ but violent assault is very common.

Tourists usually only ever stick to the white racist havens of the south island anyway. But ay drunk english guys come and try shit in the bars are just another weekend fun for locals to beat there disrespectful asses.

My cousins have come here from australia and did the whole disrepectful looking at people like they are tough and got there ass beaten really bad by islanders. I warned them not to look at people like that NZ is a different culture and world.

You won't understand the culture. Hell people won't have a problem of getting assaulted if they don't disrespect people in the first place. Disrespect is different in every culture. Different social norms for different places.

Most people are respectful but some people are not. Looking at you wrong is justified not only in this country but other cultures aswell. People need to mind their own business on the streets. Hell i don't even like violence but if it calls for it then i can defend myself. I also don't like people sterotyping people. Most disrepect will end in a verbal warning for said person. If they can not just take that verbal warning and brush it off and not be disrepectful but instead want to escalate it to something else aka their ego got hurt and now they want to prove themselves then its fair game. And hell im still surpised by the amount of short tiny guys who think they can take on a 220 lb 6 foot 5 islander. then want to cry foul.

And most violence is inter cultural. Sports rivialery leds to extreme violence during rugby league here between tongans and Samoans after matches. Its just the culture let them have a go at each other. Jesus even the women start beating up the guys its a true sight to behold.

you want to see what happens in NZ look no further. Alcohol is the bain of the people and usually the leading cause of violence so i don't like to go out anymore and i try limit my drinking for that very reason.
