Long time lurker, finally took the plunge

Hi everyone, I'm from Detroit, stumbled across this site about 4 years ago while I was still actively using H. Been clean almost 3 years, but I've been struggling with urges for awhile, thankfully lost contacts, too chicken sgit to cold cop right now....trying to hold on. Anyway, this site has been really helpful, and I thought I'd finally join instead of just lurking.

moving to a different state and losing all my friends/contacts/dealers saved me from long term H addiction... for real

I moved to california, stopped using H, then got the news that 4 of my friends died from H/fent a few years later

I'm still alive

I mourne the dead yet appreciate that I made it out of that hell hole

... you have reached the deep end friend, but the plunge aint that bad :) Glad you're here. Keep holding on.
 
SnafulnTheVoid I'm sorry about your friends, but I'm glad you made it out. I moved a few hours away from where I was living when I used, and no one around me uses. It's crazy how our minds work.

Welcome @Downinit, hope u can stay clean and maybe spend some time writing and such here, it's quite addictive, a fun pastime distraction for sure!

Yea dude, and getting a prescription for any relief for that is next to impossible anymore...where in the Detroit area are you located?? I'm actually in Rochester Hills myself
