Sinning, as Jesus and the church say, is good. Turn or burn Christians.

I have mentioned this passage of Schopenhauer to @dalpat077 before but not to the Gnostic, so I shall post it here again.

Temples and churches, pagodas and mosques, in all countries and ages, in their splendour and spaciousness, testify to man's need for metaphysics, a need strong and ineradicable, which follows close on the physical. The man of a satirical frame of mind could of course add that this need for metaphysics is a modest fellow content with meagre fare. Sometimes it lets itself be satisfied with clumsy fables and absurd fairy-tales. If only they are imprinted early enough, they are for man adequate explanations of his existence and supports for his morality. Consider the Koran, for example; this wretched book was sufficient to start a world-religion, to satisfy the metaphysical need of countless millions for twelve hundred years, to become the basis of their morality and of a remarkable contempt for death, and also to inspire them to bloody wars and the most extensive conquests. In this book we find the saddest and poorest form of theism. Much may be lost in translation, but I have not been able to discover in it one single idea of value. Such things show that the capacity for metaphysics does not go hand in hand with the need for it.

We all have a metaphysical itch, no argument.

What you describe is called substance dualism and it is universal in all of us.

When we let that itch have us adore a vile satanic gods like Yahweh, we should seek medical help.

It takes a sick mind to adore a genocidal and infanticidal god. Right?

Yahweh according to Gnostic Bishop is vile and evil? Maybe he missed the part about love your neighbor as yourself, a Jewish concept long before a Christian one. If you don't take into consideration just how far we've come in 3 milennia, all these gnostic posts amount nothing more than graffiti. The evil vile Yaweh, repeat ad nuaseum, just like 'the king is a fink'. If you don't have any substance to post, why all the inane rhetoric to the point of being ridiculous? Honestly, most of Gnostic Bishop's post are straw man arguments, without acknowledging anything substantive about religions and the vast majority of good people that practice them as best they can. If you want to push people's buttons and shit post why not go the lounge and practice you're button pushing there rather than a section where posters want to have an adult conversation about philosophy and spirituality.

What is ridiculous is you advocating for a genocidal prick of a god and his homophobic and misogynous religions.

Thanks for showing your moral worth.

Let me know when you want to grow up by putting away the things of children, like supernatural and other fantasies about reality.

If my arguments are so easy to beat, why do your ilk always run away, or post the kind of lies you just posted?

That one does not have to be the old GOAT from freemasonry.

The God of All Things.

Conception of, yes.

Mostly this one.

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.” Richard Dawkins.

Satan loves this one. Well actually, she hates him for being so much more evil than she is. He put her out of business and took over her duties.

Again your arguing with yourself, that's a straw man, didn't stick around long enough to read your ad hominem attacks on me (again).

Sinning as Jesus and the Church say is good [because they want you to come repent, rinse and repeat]. This assumes that we don't want to find the truth but continue in our ignorance, which is socially acceptable and convenient. That's how I understood it anyhow. Maybe it means something else

i could understand the church saying sinning is necessary. but good? not so much.

I took it as a misunderstanding like how L2 speakers can use good instead of accepted, but I'll wait for Gnostic Bishop to set the record straight

don't hold your breath :)

thanks for your thoughts man.

Jesus, to Christians, is the head of the church.

The Church sings that Adam's sin was a happy fault and was necessary to Yahweh's plan.

Jesus would sin himself, and scriptures show that he is a sinner, if he had to to keep the plan on track.

Right?

Sinning is good reminds me of Issac Beshevish Singer's book "Satan in Goray", its about a false messiah Zev Sabbatai (spelling) who went through Eastern Europe during programs and preached that because it was the end of days sinning didn't matter anymore.

So, I guess if someone is advocating sinning is good, burn Christians, if that person was serious I'd be afraid.

I'm hoping its just more shitposting designed to get more replies.

What is the root of sin.

Human nature. Right?

Our natures are what has insured we do not go extinct.

Would you take sin out of our natures and help us go extinct?
