Election 2020 The Final Countdown v. Nov. 3rd

Ok hows this... there's a big difference between having the voice of the presidency and its vast media reach, and using it to try and unite the country by appealing to giant numbers of people at one time.

And being willing to sugar coat my responses to the idiotic crap individual trump fans representing the greatest extremes of trump voters say here on bluelight.

I can advocate for the former while not being willing to indulge in the latter.

Xorkoth: I would definitely say there are more people opposed to Trump on Bluelight, by far, however that is because the whole world is represented in our members, and although there are Trump supporters overseas, my experience has been that there are not very many, it's mostly Americans that support Trump in large numbers.

I voted for him simply because I oppose socialism. My politics more resemble anarcho-capitalism

The problem is there are a hundred million of you in the US alone. Combined you are just as powerful (if not moreso) than any president. Don't underplay the significance of public opinion. Public opinion (social media / forums / etc) combined with all the power of Hollywood is a force to be reckoned with. Like it or not, by not sugar coating your opinions you are contributing to a powerful wave that is dividing your country further. Take the high road.

You justify your contributions by blaming what you the "idiotic crap" you are responding but in my short time here I've seen you twice call republican voters retards in response to nothing.

Well that public opinion has just spoken in the form of choosing president elect biden. I'd argue that in itself that is already a big vote for unity rather than division.

But as for me personally, I think there are limits on what you can expect people to reasonably tolerate. Which is why I can't say I'm especially offended by biden calling trump a clown. Was it the best choice of words? Perhaps not. But when someone interrupts you over and over and over again, well, we're all human, not saints.

I agree with you, actually, that talking shit about Trump supporters is not a good thing and contributes to the division. I do not agree, however, that criticizing any politician is a bad thing. I also don't agree that people like Stephen Colbert criticizing Trump is a bad thing. If you see something that you feel strongly is wrong, especially in an elected official, it is in fact your duty to speak out against it. Personally I always try my best to be respectful to Trump supporters. But I'm not going to act like what I've seen the past 4 years from Trump himself hasn't been unacceptable. The real problem lies with the citizens on each side resenting and insulting each other and building up a sense of division. It's not with Americans criticizing their leaders.

I'm not worried. Pretty soon it won't matter who's president. It's what goes on in the House and Senate that matters the most. Of course I'm just waiting for it to fall apart so I can get out of here for good. I'm not a fan of the States

It's going to be a whole lot harder to get out of the States if and when it falls apart. it's already hard for Americans to move to many other countries, they don't want us. If there is a mass exodus, then we are going to, quite ironically, be the fleeing immigrants that nobody wants.

@Xorkoth I can move to Norway since half of my family is still there. I made sure I updated my passport before the elections happened, hehe

Oh nice, lucky you. My passport is updated too, but I don't have any relatives anywhere else. I'm about 50% Swedish by blood, all 4 of my great-grandparents immigrated. But I don't think that counts.

Noone wants Americans. They're all riddled with covid19.

Mm it's good to be a dual citizen. :D

Trump supporters seem to be losing it man, insane.
Even here in EU people seem to be believing that the election was ''''stolen'''' lol, I can't believe the stupidity, Trump was saying all along that this was his plan to fight the results.

Who believes that in Europe?! Who's "people"?
That "a lot of people", "the nation of Austria" or "me and my mom"?
I find that impossible to believe, I've seen basically no reaction to the election whatsoever. The consensus here usually is that we don't care..

There are trump supporters everywhere, they're just in much smaller numbers in most developed countries outside America.

And yes most of them seem to believe pretty much whatever trump tells them while calling other people sheep.

Maybe I'm ignoring the right people :D

Brother, I'm not gonna answer those questions hah, no idea how you could seemingly get offended by what I wrote.
The problem is that a lot of people do seem to care, from tweets from politicians, tweets from non politicians and Facebook tears I've seen it all.
The trick is to put yourself in pole position to take in all the lovely crying
