Hospital food really is amazingly bad.

I was in a psych hospital for about a month some years ago... It was truly amazing how they could make such a variety of food all taste like the same bland shit.

You really gotta work to make food that bad.
I think they just assume sick people lose their sense of taste so they don't care to season the food properly or put any effort into making it good. In the case of jail or prison, I always assumed they make the food shitty on purpose as a form of punishment. Not sure which would be worse, hospital food or jail/prison food. At least they don't serve the nutriloaf in hospitals. Haha.

I think the actual reason is that they basically have to cater to a pile of people and don't wanna have to specialize so they just make everything for the lowest common denominator.

One person can't have peanuts, no peanuts in anything. One person can't have too much salt, no more than x amount of salt. Etc etc etc.

Boarding school food comes out of the same bucket

Makes sense. I can see that.

Right, and in all these cases is the same deal. They're institutional food. For a bunch of people with slightly different dietary needs. And the institution just wants to be able to make one thing at a time for everyone.

As a result everyone gets food that nobody wants :D

LSD-25 ist a strictly European drug. To have the best times on it one should be at a place of sublime reckoning, like St. Paul's Cathedral, or the Hermannsdenkmal. The experience will be then quite apart from taking it otherwise say at an Asiatic slum, or if surrounded by a repertoire of Thai hookers. Ergot is sourced in Europe and the spirit of the substance is fully European.

If Anyone is into movies about alcoholism, I'd recommend Leaving Las Vegas, Smashed, and Factotum (based on the autobiography and life of Charles Bukowski).

Many more can be added to the list.

Under the Volcano
Withnail and I
On The Bowery
16 Years of Alcohol
The Last Weekend
Days of Wine and Roses
Barfly
Everything Must Go
28 Days
Drunks
Clean and Sober
