We are not going to give you money.
I agree. I didn't want to be the one to say it first, but it's definitely starting to sound like the motive here (i.e. "Help me or I'll kill myself.") Good old fashioned emotional blackmail.
Do what you need to do to survive, what are you expecting here with the alluding to keeping this pill in your pocket if we don't hurry to help you?
Learn from this situation and grow, you will be a much better person in the long run. It's painful sometimes, it hurts, I know. But ultimately, there are so many possibilities for you - you're a healthy, young guy.
If you're starving, a job paying 8 dollars an hour or whatever minimum wage is would be taken without hesitation to at least get some money for food and essentials.
Most temp agencies are great for exactly what it says, temporary work, and usually pay more than minimum wage to begin with. For long term contracts and temp to hire, it's better to get hired straight on initially. In your case, that definitely isn't a luxury - and it's definitely not getting ripped off or screwed over, they need to make money too to find you instant work, and it's typically proportional to what work you are doing, skill level, and pay rate.
That's 100% inaccurate that an employee with similar experience, length of service, knowledge and position would make 10 dollars/hour less as a temporary employee versus someone hired directly on the same day. If this is true, there are probably numerous other variables. Typically there is a formula of how much the temp agency takes for a 90 day contract, and they deduct it weekly from each check - also, the company typically pays the temp agency a higher per hour rate than an equal employee for a few reasons, one being they don't pay benefits, etc. that they do for an employee hired straight on, further offsetting the amount you directly pay the temp agency. It typically winds up being a 2 to 3 dollar/hour difference for the temporary period - but again, this is offset, because the company is paying a higher rate for your services to the temp agency than they would pay you directly if you were to be direct hired (in gross pay, it's actually more when you factor benefits and everything else.)
