Scared Returning to work on day 2 of opioid withdrawal

I think that if you feel like you can manage, and arent gonna get fired, then you should go. If you push yourself on the hardest days the easier days will be no problem. Hopefully you would be able to leave if you felt you had to though
Na once I'm there leaving isn't really an option.

Its been 32 hours since my last pain killer. I was off work today but have to work tomorrow. I wait tables. Is this going to be possible? Has anyone worked during withdrawals? Any advice?
I have. You gotta tough that shit out if that’s your income, sadly and I know this sounds cold to say but your the one who took them there’s always consequences. Now as to comfort meds. Loperamide works for the stomach stuff but if your trying to get off it I would just grit my teeth and do it I know it’s hard and I’m keeping you in my prayers to get through it

Thanks. Will Loperamide prolong the withdrawal process? Like once it wears off will I feel like I'm "set back" at all?

I mean I don’t think so, loperamide is an opiate it just doesn’t cross the blood brain barrier. What is your goal and I can’t tell you better are you wanting off opiates all together ?

Then I would stay away from everything. Your not going get a buzz of loperamide or anything, and as for kratom I’ll kill that before that even gets commented. Your body is going to go through hell depending on your usage but see the silver lining in it. You got enough motivation to work some people’s withdrawals are so bad they can’t do anything but sleep cry and shit. My advice is if you can go to work go. Get your paper. And try to put any thoughts of opiate usage into your work meaning any frustration you feel put it into your work and use a little escapism tactics. But I mean will loperamide make it worse? I can’t really say some say it helps them get off some just take it till the next script or bag comes in. You’re doing fine and I applaud your brave attitude.

Is there another reason someone would stop taking them?

I mean yes some people take t breaks some people eat to much of their script that month and have to come off until they get more. A lotta people like to play games with opiates sadly. If you don’t mind me asking what was your dose and of what opiate?

Oxycodone orally. Was taking on average 100 mg a day for about a year. The last month, I managed to taper myself down to an average of about 40 mg, last day taking 25.

Man fuck that. I can’t imagine putting myself through this at the end of every script. People are crazy LOL.

Lol yeah sadly it sucks ive seen my family do the shit. Day the script comes in they are all happy as fuck taking 6 10s at a time. Then they sleep the rest of the time they didn’t have one. I myself freak out if I take anything above a 10mg. So maybe I’m not the best to talk about withdrawal but in my hey day I was eating morphine ers like candy it was truly a sad time

Not nearly as bad as I was expecting
That happened to me at first also.
No prob !!! . . . . you just fight through it.

The problem is the rest of the days ! PAWS

OH MY !!!

Stay strong please ! And you wouldn't be here if you weren't. YOU CAN if you want to and it FEELS SO GOOD because YOU CAN

It is a learning process that needs to get done. . . . that is to get through this !

The going to work thing will be just like having the flu. And I don't really know what else to say

. . . Except that you must stay healthy.

All of the best blessings and strength to you 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽.

The most I've taken at one time is 20 mg but I would take that every 3-4 hours.
