Have YOU ever been to a psychic? Do YOU believe in telepathy?

Well that's your choice. You've made it quite clear you don't agree with me, but I know exactly what I'm talking about. The occult is a satanic cult. You don't agree with me, I get it. You don't have to follow me around disagreeing. Your point is made, but there is a spiritual world. There's a spiritual battle going on right now between Jesus and the devil. The people in power are using it to their advantage that foolish people aren't believers. They are using Satan in the spiritual world and laughing at people who don't believe. So keep not believing, doesn't effect me either way. Hopefully you won't learn it's not a "fairytale" when it's too late.

You need to watch "Ares" on Netflix.

Been to a few. Friends keep buying me gift vouchers for them.

Nope, don’t believe.
It’s psychology.

I should point out to you, since you are either a Christian, or at least a follower of Jesus Christ, that ''occult'' only means ''hidden knowledge'' and that Christianity is STEEPED FROM HEAD TO TOE IN THE OCCULT and always had been.

Rosicrucianism, Gnosticism, The Knight's Templars and The Freemasons are just a few of the ''christian occult'' orders that exist.

These are occult orders that HIGHLY value the teachings of Jesus Christ and the bible, and in fact, base all their teachings around christ and the bible, but they are kind of almost like different secret denominations.

Christian mystics who consider themselves keepers of secret ''OCCULT'' arcane knowledge go back to the time of christ, and many were priests.

The Golden Dawn, despite having Aleister Crowley as a member before he was kicked out, based a large percentage of its' teachings around Rosicrucianism, which actually means ''The Order of the Rosy Cross'' and guess where that ''Cross'' symbol that they respect so greatly comes from---CHRISTIANITY.

I mean, you can believe whatever you want, but honestly, you are NOT as educated as you think on other systems of belief.

I will grant you that you know more about the bible than me as i have only read certain parts and actually i do want to some day read the whole thing, but i think you probably know very very little about other religions and occult orders and philosophies, whereas i have studied pretty much most of the world's religions and many different philosophical systems, world mythologies and spiritual systems throughout my life.

You strike me as extremely superstitious to a fault, and that is really not mentally healthy IMO.

I have OCD myself, and many people with OCD fall into the religious trap and go around thinking they need to say hail mary's ten thousand times a day or pray to such and such a diety every hour on the hour and it eventually becomes a form of mental illness.

Maybe read a bit about some of the other religious systems and consider that they may hold value to them as well.

Hell, just read the old testament/hebrew bible and consider THAT THAT IS REALLY JUDAISM MORE THAN CHRISTIANITY.

Jesus was a jew afterall.

And yet, while i think all system of belief have something positive to offer, i believe they also all have something negative to offer.

i am not willing to 100 percent rule out the existence of god, but i tend to believe in what i can see and feel with my own senses, and i really don't see what anyone stands to gain by believing in magical fairy tales about what does or doesn't happen when we die or a big man in the sky.

Maybe there's a god and maybe there's a heaven or hell, but i'm not willing to gamble my life on their existence.

I'm figuring there's nothing else and that if i want something i better accomplish it for myself and not ask god for it, just in case he doesn't exist.

Deep breaths?

That was an interesting read though thanks!
Didnt realise the Order kicked Crowley out 😂
Thought he left to develop Thelema

Wow. She actually said the Freemasons and all the occult HIGHLY value the teachings of Jesus Christ. No they have STOLEN the word of God and used it to trick people to lead them to hell.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It's beyond ridiculous to actually think the occult teaches Jesus Christ. They worship Satan. Get a clue. You know nothing.

Crowley sacrificed children and worshipped the devil just like the rest of the occult she's talking about. I'm disgusted she's trying to make it sound like they were into Jesus. No they worship the devil and sacrifice humans. She is very deceived. It's disturbing.

I hadn’t heard the sacrificed kid/people one before either 😂😂😂
I think the poor bloke copped some bad press, the establishment isn’t a fan of his ilk for some reason.
And the internet makes him look worse than he was too I’ve noticed.

I was raised by a creep for a father, all that cult stuff I learned by the time I was 11.
I remember wishing I was like the normal kids so I could go to church 😂😂😂

You’re right though, faithful Christians they were not lol
I think Crowley just liked to get off his head and have orgies really when it all boils down 💁

No i haven't. I guess because i'm a bit ignorant and assume it's nearly impossible to find real ones. You know, who perform seances and cast out demons, stuff like that. :)

Not that anyone cares but i'm skeptical of telepathy as a real phenomenon. Like, i would like to see an expert guess my name right the first time. Then i could say it's real

Have you ever been to a psychic, if so what happened, or do you believe in telepathy, or have you had any telepathic experiences while on drugs or when not on drugs?

I have not been to a psychic and do not believe in their abilities.

I do believe that telepathy is real. I have experienced it twice. Once with who is now my wife and one other time with what I call a cosmic consciousness.

That was many years ago now and I have not been able to reproduce it. It may be because my curiosity was appeared and that that with a desire to know may be lacking now.

My wife and I would pass a lie detector on this but even then, who really cares, given that replication is so difficult even for a bonified telepath.

C2C, could you please stop pulling this stuff into every single thread? No one is trying to talk about Crowley and child sacrifice in this thread. It was totally valid of you to post about how you think psychics are satanic, that was on topic. The Crowley stuff, freemasons, etc... not on topic. It would be nice to keep each thread to its topic so that people can discuss certain topics by going to that topic's thread, and not participate in conversations they don't want to participate in.

If you go to page 2, you can clearly see Mycophile going into detail about the Crowley stuff and Freemasons so I responded to it. I love the way you try to make me out to be the bad guy. Go back and read who actually brought it up. Thanks.

Maybe my memory is lacking, but didn't someone years ago prove science-wise that lie detector tests were not completely infallible. IOW, they could manipulate the test. Hehe

I always go there because i am one who is able to manipulate these kinds of tests

What happened with the cosmic consciousness?

What does lie detectors have to do with this topic?

Gnostic said he had gone for a lie detector test with his spouse, a few posts above, and I remarked that these tests have been proven to be suspect because anyone can pass them; okay, maybe not anyone can but persuasive types can pass - ie people who control their breathing at will

The word "psychic" is a loaded term, which is why it's hard to have a good conversation about it.

In terms of real research and scientific investigation, the Russian research shows us that in terms of predictability, "psychics" have an above average chance of improved accuracy. So while a regular person may be right 50% of the time, a "psychic" will be right maybe 60-70% of the time. The increased accuracy does not have a good explanation, but it tends to be consistent. There are a few very gifted ones who have a >70% accuracy rate, but they are approx 1 in 10,000 individuals, and they all have specific psychological features... usually a history of severe trauma, and anti-social behaviour. The predictive aspect of psychism is very difficult to test for because most of the test subjects are extremely sensitive and don't perform well under testing conditions; but even with the error rate, the Russian research is the best we've got.

In terms of actual abilities like telepathy, remote viewing, auras, out of body experiences, etc. Those are all very different subjects with very different studying procedures. They're not all one thing. AFAIK, the Russian research showed that telepathy is not a thing. Most people did worse than chance at guessing what others were thinking. OBEs are definitely a thing, there have been lots of reports on that, even beyond the original Russian research. Remote viewing... I personally know it's possible, but both the U.S. and Russians classified that aspect of the research while claiming it's not real. I think that's because it's actually real and they intended to use it for their intelligence services. Auras are real... it's just the bio-electric field of the body, but it has its own properties, and some people's visual spectrum can observe it.

The vast majority of people doing tarot readings and what not are not true psychics, or they are low level ones. That's not to say that tarot services can't be helpful to people. Intuition can be highly developed in some people as a source of non-linear information, in such a way that if a person sits down with an intuitive, the intuitive can pick up on details from queues and other sources that aren't necessarily logical, but are accurate. However, this is not psychism, it's just another human faculty at work. True psychism is an extension of the human faculties. You can use logic or intuition, and then the psychic component will extend beyond those faculties to pull information from who knows where. The Russian research showed that high level psychics are very rare and usually troubled people. They tend to drop out of society and be recluses because they are too sensitive to function under normal social conditions. They certainly wouldn't be advertising psychic services -- at least, most of them.

I've always kind of figured if a person were a gifted psychic and found their way into a business, this would be a rare opportunity that would probably have a rather slim window.

Right. I've been fortune enough to come across a medium who is a demonologist. Unfortunately, she's far away (Alaska) but she's books to her credit and is quite well respected

There definitely isn't anyone in my area who is a real psychic; like supernatural things. Palm readings can be put on hold, haha ;)

So does that woman perform exorcism or something? What does she say or claim about demons? Which books did she write? Or is she an academic who writes about the history of demons in folklore, film, etc.?

Usually self-proclaimed demonologists are of a Christian bent or they have an interest (academic or religious) in the old Judeochristian texts and grimoires from the middle ages which discussed the topic of "demons" at length. The bulk of these texts were written during the Burning Times when paranoia about witchcraft and sorcery was at its height.

Most of the occult practitioners who are working with "demons" are operating under the Greek understanding of the word, known as daemons or daimons, which just means spirits. Daimons come in all varieties, from good and benevolent, to malicious and evil, to helpful, to low level, to full on gods. Daimon is just a word to describe other worldly intelligences.

"Demonologists" tend to focus on the Christian use of the word "demons", which is bastardized Greek, and relates almost exclusively to spirits who do evil toward humans, and the lore surrounding them.

They use the devil in the spiritual world for whatever they do. Same goes with psychics and people who "talk to the dead". Btw, no one can talk to the dead. They are only communicating with demons, not your loved ones. If your loved one is dead, you cannot communicate with that person. Demons impersonate loved ones all the time to trick you.
