Whilst my views on the whole Isreal versus Palestine conflict arent informed enough to pick a side. Blaming the prescription drug crisis over there on the occupying country doesnt seem like it makes much sense.

Some time ago I read the Middle East people were better metabolizers of Tramadol. That would explain in part why they love Tramadol.

It could be. Some subsets of Asian people can't metabolize MDMA, I thought. Similarly, with alcohol and lactose, I thought. But overall interracial differences can exceed those between two races.

I actually had to take some alcohol classes to see someone in rehab and yes, in fact, that race/region unquestionably does metabolize alcohol differently. It's not a slam racially, many races although pretty similar, do indeed have differences.

You don't know that. Certain folks have easier times metabolizing lactose and that can be due to genetic heritage. Genetics does not = racism...
