The 2019 Trump Presidency Thread

Status
Not open for further replies.
the democrats asked a foreign government to interfere in our election process by investigation a political rival?

what?

Christopher Steele (UK) was paid by the Clinton campaign. Some of those funds then went on to pay Russians (!!!) for dirt on a political rival.
Alexander Downer (AUS), Stefan Halper (UK) and Josef Mifsud (Malta/Italy) were also involved with spying on the Trump administration at the behest of the Clinton campaign and Fusion GPS.
How quickly we forget... (and then hypocritically accuse our enemies of the same thing). Spare me the fake outrage.

Hillary had it very bad.
Hillary was extremely PROTECTED by the mainstream media. And Google. The bad press surrounding her came from people online sharing (mostly factual) information and some lower-level journalists and outlets. But she was definitely protected as the chosen candidate of corporate media. There's a compilation of guests' feeds being cut (or "experiencing technical difficulties") the exact second that they began to speak ill/truthful of Hillary on outlets like CNN. Hilarious but obvious.

and lies and then reversing and pretending he never lied, and realize that this is a horrifying thing, that we've gotten to this point.
The MSM's lies dwarf any of Trumps lies or mistakes. They are much more malicious and show concerted intent and an agenda to deceive. Not many people still trust the mainstream media. It's pretty well-accepted that the media is a joke and full of crap.

However it's also important we hold him accountable for his actions, so some of that is valid.
I agree, this would be nice. But the seriously bad aspects of Trump's presidency - the establishment is on board with that agenda so they do not mention the important stuff and instead try to demonize and remove him based on lies and exaggerations.

He is not looking out for the country. He's looking out for himself, period.
He's also looking out for Israel (and to a lesser extent the Saudis). These are stories the mainstream media will not touch because they support it.

He wants everyone to know, love and revere him, to consider him the best at everything and the smartest. The sheer number of times he has displayed these characteristics makes me sure of it. And you cannot rely on a narcissist. And you certainly shouldn't put one in a position where they're responsible for 360 million people.
Any and all presidential candidates want this. They're all narcissists. Nothing unique to Trump he's just unapologetic and doesn't try to hide it like the other psychopaths.

Yes, because Obama acts like a normal human being and doesn't, for example, make concerning or confusing tweets every day, or shockingly admit to things, or have a really dysfunctional white house with people quitting left and right and tell stories about it.
No it's because Obama was a liberal and the mainstream media leans left. It's also because he was a black man. It's funny that Trump is often demonized for saying things that Obama often said almost exactly himself! This further proves their bias and their feigned outrage at Trump.

He was charming and gracious when people would start fanboying out.
Like many psychopaths.

He didn't do any ridiculous shit, he put his head down and did the work.

Yeah...apart from all the wars, covert messages to Clinton's illegal server, going after whistleblowers and journalists by invoking the archaic Espionage Act (more than any other president combined), weaponizing the IRS to attack his political enemies, throwing people in jail for making unflattering documentaries exposing him, overseeing a coup against Trump by weaponizing the FBI and DOJ etc etc. Obama was a piece of shit and would be hated if the media was honest. Many of us tend to remember Obama through the leftist media's rose-colored glasses. Some of us know about and remember what he actually did.

In the end, or actually, well before the end, I truly hope we can all realize that the DNC and the RNC (establishment politicians) are all on the same side. They're working for the corporations. They're creating drama and division on purpose so we can all spend our time and effort being angry at our fellow Americans and fail to notice as our quality of life keeps slipping away
This I can agree with.

That describes Adolf Hitler. His doctors injected him with cocktails of drugs throughout the day... meth was in the morning is what I seem to recall (and makes sense).

Lots of bull semen and ground-up bull cojones as well . . . Der Totale Rausch: Drogen im Dritten Reich by Norman Ohler, translated into English last year as Blitzed: Drugs In Nazi Germany is all about this, . . . it was at least 75 different drugs he got, including Eukodal, injectable oxycodone hydrochloride, especially, and at least once Scophedal, the Oxy-hyoscine-ephedrine mixture my doctor has the compounding pharmacy make for me,. Eukodal ampoules are what William S Burroughs said hit the pleasure centres of the brain directly and having a cocaine-like effect in addition to the morphinian effects. Burroughs wrote a letter about it from Tangier in 1952 to Allen Ginsburg. The same book also deals with D-IX, the mix of C-Jam, Crank, and Oxy they tested on mini-submarine drivers in the autumn of 1944. Hitler probably had full on withdrawal from oxycodone, codeine, and/or morphine starting in January 1945 as all of the oxy in Germany had been used up by the Wehrmacht and others. Hermann Göring, who was a morphine addict after the First World War and an early user of oxy, which he really liked but it was dihydrocodeine that he really liked and got addicted around 1931 or so, and the US Army caught him with the entire world supply of DHC, 20 000 tablets, in two suitcases.

CH is correct. It’s an emoji I pulled up using the word “music”? ?
One thing is that it looks like 15401 when I put a response to a post together when quoting manually -- ? is Unicode 1F3B6, it turns out too, . . . which I suppose can represent either really loud music, a sequence of three quavers, something like "Inna Gadda Da Vida" and so on . . .

Here are the musical notes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Musical_Symbols_(Unicode_block) and other related Unicode characters . . . Holy Shit! Can people use something like the combining diacritics functionality to directly write music on a staff with the keyboard?

Emojis can be found here -- https://unicode.org/emoji/charts/full-emoji-list.html Whooah!

If you feel anything provided is 'indisputable evidence' I'd appreciate your view on it. I can admit when I'm wrong and would want to know how to correct my view.
Video can be seen here:

I wanted to come back for a moment and thank you. It's clear to me we both interpret the same information differently. I don't see that as a grounds for argument, but I very much to appreciate the honest sharing back and forth to help broaden my understanding of things. I won't belabor it further right now on two counts - 1) I doubt either of us will be moved much, and 2) I simply don't have the time for more than this fly by reply to several observed remarks. But I wanted to start with acknowledging your response and saying "Thank you".

a private server? that's a criminal offense surely?

Idunno. Ask Hillary. Oy, and Trump's isn't private (wasn't stated as such before your remark, it seems you took the previous reply of "why did they hide it in a code word protected server?" and turned that into a "private server".

So Trump raised nearly DOUBLE of what Obama raised despite all the bad press.

Trump has allegedly raised more than every Democrat combined.

I had read in 2wks he raised more than all of Obama, but I can't find a link beyond 'some guy on the internet'. Still, most sites are reporting $125m for RNC and Trump for in the last quarter, compared to DNC and Obama's $70 in the same quarter in 2011. Trump is building an immense war chest, but he's going to need it. Right or wrong, the harassment from the Dems will not end, so he will have to have the money available.

i wonder what the chances are if all the low iq trump voters would start a modern day american civil war vs the democrats if he was impeached. Probably very low but not impossible of happening. i think it he will be found not guilty and win a second term with even more votes.

Honestly, even the low iq trump voters (is there any other kind? disclaimer - I voted for him) likely wouldn't fight if he was impeached. As long as they still get to keep their guns, they'd let him hang in the wind as bringing it on himself. Ultimately, I think there is more of a self-preservation mindset than standing up for Trump. I do agree he will be found not guilty and it will garner him more support, as seen in the fund raising already.

It’s great watching Republican politicians try to figure out which way the winds are blowing on the Trump impeachment.

I wanted to FIFY by changing Republican to All, however I don't really think the Dems care anymore which direction Trump is going on anything. No matter what his move, it's more grounds for impeachment, even if it isn't.

State size scaled based on California population density:

I've always thought California was pretty "dense" ;)

I totally agree with you that the news media is rabidly against Trump. But of course at this point ALL they care about is a story.

Along those lines, just for today as an example, Trump is visiting "wounded warriors" at Walter Reed in the morning and has an afternoon meeting with the Young Black Leadership Summit. Will either of those get any press? I doubt it.

people will be found to be guilty of terrible things that are heinous with using their positions of power to get rid of someone they want out of the white house so they can get in.. Trump is in the clear, but the other ones... not so much.

Trump may not have any evidence against him, perhaps it doesn't exist or perhaps it hasn't been found yet, but he is constantly laying landmines for himself then jumping up and down on them bigly. I wouldn't be surprised if he does manage to kick himself in the nuts hard enough for impeachment before long. Seems stubbing his toe repeatedly with social ineptness isn't any sort of problem for him personally.

It is totally corrupt to make a de facto quid quo pro deal with foreign countries to try and find dirt on domestic political enemies.

Two points - first, there is still disagreement that this is what was done between Trump and Ukraine. You can believe it's there, I can hold a position it isn't, but it's still up for dispute. It is not, however, up for dispute for Biden given his video bragging of such, but for some reason that's not a problem for some people. Second point, it is appropriate to ask for other countries to help in investing corruption of or by Americans - not to dig political dirt on an opponent, but to get help in investigating such corruption like the US influencing other gov'ts (say, withholding aid in quid pro quo to fire that country's prosecutor maybe?) or interfering in an election (say, by generating dirt on a political opponent, even if you have to fabricate it, or trying to get moles inserted into that political opponents campaign staff maybe). That is appropriate, and asking for such help is exactly why the media asked for Zelensky's side of the call with Trump...too bad he said there was 'no pressure' and wasn't aware the aid was being held.

(in reply to JG) "it's obvious" isn't proof of anything. seriously, you know this.

Where have I seen something like that before? Oh, yes...

obvious answer is obvious.

The investigation of the 2016 election is gonna be great.. Just wait and see. There's no grounds for impeachment btw. The dems would like to think so and the liberal media say he'll get impeached but as we know, it's a bunch of BS basically. They use their platform to talk trash to sway people. They don't have anyone at this point in time that could even possibly come close to beating Trump. Biden is out... all done for him. So who can people put their hope in? Pocohantas ? ? I don't think so

STILL not been impeached, huh?

Idk if you know this, but impeachment itself is mostly symbolic.

Our House of Representatives will bring it to a vote, and he will be impeached.

Thats because the House is much more representative of our population than the Senate. For some archaic and stupid reason, North Dakota and Arkansas have the same number of Senators as California and New York. It's the apparatus that's kept old white men in power for over 200 years.

Long story short, he will be impeached politically in the House but will never be convicted in his trial in the Senate.

If nothing else I hope these last few years have shown how impotent we really are as citizens to keep our government in check. Perhaps we should consider campaign finance reform, abolishing the electoral college, etc before anything else.

lol it's good you admit that but it's not a good thing to be. Hypocrisy can invalidate everything that you state or claim especially when it comes to the judgment of others. It shows you lack morals, principles and integrity and that you're willing to completely alter your beliefs as it becomes politically expedient to do so.
are you saying - or implying - that you've never been guilty of hypocrisy?

alasdair

Very rarely and I strive to avoid it.

I don't believe you can be a leftist today and not be a hypocrite, but props to you for being honest about that.
Hypocrisy is a human trait. It's only something someone can contain rather than something anyone can avoid. It's not a leftist thing, it's a human thing.

This is why robots are taking all of our jobs.

You mean her LIE about her heritage.
If that's true, she is a horrible liar. I mean, it was her who willingly took the DNA test and made it public.

If that's a lie, then that's the kind of liar I want as president.
