did anybody see the trump press conference today (with the president of finland)?
he has lost his mind.
Yeah a casual watch of that really makes it hard to convince yourself he's fit for the office. A narcissist will always choose himself over everything else. He makes both important and flippant decisions based on maximizing his communication of his own greatness. I mean I've watched through a number of Trump appearances and interviews. The dude is pathological. I've known other people like that (one was among my best friends, my friend-sister, part of my daily life) and they're a fucking shit show, sketchy, very narrow focus. All this presidency is to him is to prove his greatness. That
is literally all he is trying to do. He doesn't give a
fuck about this country or any of us. That, along with environmental and education policy decisions, are why I fully do not support the guy as president. He is not qualified for office. Forget all the news bullshit. All the news is bullshit now, it's just distraction noise. Thanks Trump, for bringing that to light. Watching him speak for a period of time, you can tell what he is, I sure as fuck can. I know that when I see it. I do not want that kind of person running this country. He could do anything, you don't know, because his ultimate goal is not the same goal of the president of the united states... I like my president to make his top priority the successful running of our country, achieving the best result. Other countries see it too, this narcissism... our allies, our enemies. That hurts our country's position and regard in the world, and that's fucking important. He is a fucking disaster, other than he's brought a lot of stuff to light and that's good (I think it was an unintended boon for us, but for him it was attempts to shift blame and create an enemy and sympathy for him, classic narcissistic tendencies of behavior.
My ideal way forward, if I had a genie (ideally Robin Williams - I like to imagine he is the genie now) and could make a wish or something, would be for him to serve out his 1 term without impeachment, get beaten by one of the others, not sure who I prefer yet but there are a few I think would probably be good (I will make a decision, I promise, bu I'm so god damn busy lately), and then we all move forward with a real leader who is trying to be there for us and not just having what is basically smoked freebase reality TV... regular reality TV wasn't enough for him anymore, so he had to do this shit, and it's the ultimate high of his life, having this much attention, and all the superfans? He's getting off on this shit, he's basically strung out on
methattention right now and it's so much of what he's thinking about, is keeping it going. And we remember the things he revealed, such as the problems with the media, the destructive tribalism that has essentially halted the functioning of our government, the fact that we are not invincible on the world stage. The way other countries see us. The role we play in the world, good and bad. If we could move forward with a sober knowledge of that, as a civilization, with a sensible leader to help shift the political climate, we could get back on track. But Trump has got to go. He's like fucking Ghaddafi in a way, except tremendously less control. But don't forget, it's also dropping hints about a third term. Yep, I'm sure that was a simple, accidental, random slip of the tongue. Come on. Dude I like you, I think you're a good dude, I really enjoy hearing what you have to say, I read every last word you type. About everything you've made me think/re-think and about some things I have learned a lot and accepted something (Like Hilary being a ridiculous crook). But on this matter I just waned to try to fucking lay it out in the best way I could, what I see here. Everything else, every single thing else is not irrelevant, but it doesn't matter. The situation we are in now is sketchy and dangerous ad that dude should not be at the help. We fucked up. It was a rock and a hard place because of Hillary, but at least she would have kept it moving. Right now we're facing a serious economic depression, largely because of the trade war and more or less, ostly because of Trump directly. Everybody else sees him as either an embarrassment or a pawn or both. This shit is fucked man, for real. I'm trying to make it as much like we're standing in a room face to face and talking about this. I respect you. I think certain people treat you poorly and I usually find myself supporting your posting over that because although I generally disagree, you post the way one should. I am saying that to let you know that I respect you, but I truly want to know how you deal with what I just laid out in this Yuuuuuge size paragraph. I would love it if you could articulate that. And I thank you in advance.
I guess am a little confused because you sometimes seem to be that same Trump supporter but you've said that you've withdrawn support. Can you explain to me how you can listen to some of the stuff he says, and nor realize what a fucking head case he is? Fuck all the media, I'm talking about watching a speech, especially as time goes on. Also the tweets which some of are just totally cringe, just awful. And like the thing with him saying the hurricane was going to hit Alabama, and then the weather service corrected him, and then he made a big deal about how actually based on previous models he was right? Like, okay, even if if was true, why the fuck did that line of thought prioritize so hard in your brain that you basically said "fuck this interview, I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks, I need everyone to know how I'm not wrong!" How do you defend that? Because if that's the bar for qualified president, personality-wise, then we're pretty lost somewhere weird. So yeah I'm talking about his personality, but I think that's valid. Someone's personality is
who they are... it's almost every single thing about a person that matters at all or has relevance to every aspect of dealing with them.
