Harm Reduction Need advice on injection site looking weird (ANOTHER NEW UPDATE)

The antibiotics are more important than sleep, just try and get as much as you can.
You could always set an alarm amd just swallow the pill and try to get back to sleep..
DON'T miss doses though! There's a little war going on in your arm and you need ammunition constantly!
 
Hospitals now use it for open or infected wounds and burns.you should be able to buy it from a chemist or health food store.

Thanks I'll look into it.

I've run out of antibiotics now the red rash and warmth has gone and the sites turned into a scab more red/dark red than the greeny color it was. Fingers crossed it'll heal by itself? If it hasn't within a week I'll go to my GP.

Any cause for concern or do you think it'll just heal up by itself now?
It doesn't look like it's getting bigger does it?

Can already see its scaring around the edges. Hopefully it doesn't get too much bigger and I can keep passing it off as a cigarette burn lol
 
It looks to be healing. I can't be 100% sure because I am not there to see it in person. Please keep it clean.
 
I think you're in the clear. As stated previously, keep it clean. As long as it doesn't start showing signs of infection such as warmth, swelling, pain etc. you should be alright.
Has this ordeal put you off the needle out of curiosity? If not, you need to read up more on keeping everything clean, and hopefully micron filters.
It doesn't sound like you're an H addict who uses needles often, am I right?

It was definitely an eye opener. I don't inject very often thesedays. I'm normally very anal about keeping everything clean, but when the time comes around again I'm going to be double anal. I've never used a micron filter only a Swan slimline cigarette filter, normally ripped in half so it doesn't soak up too much of the shot lol.
And no I'm not a H addict, drug used was K.
 
OK so last night I woke up and the scab had come off in my sleep revealing like a divet/small hole and I could see green but it was hard.

Today I've woken up and the green or most of it is gone but the hole is very visable it looks alot deeper than I thought it would :(
Feeling very anxious about how visable it is, don't think I'm gona be able to pass it off as a cigarette burn anymore.

Does it look like it should? Not sure if I should go back to doctor don't think they will be able to do anything?
Any advice??

Do you think the hole will fill out over time?
Is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to suck it up and live with it?

I had the same exact thing happen on my hand . In short it’s gonna form into a scar about the size that it is now. It’s not a big deal but for me it kinda is cuz it’s on the top of my hand . I’m not really sure how it happend but I assume it was an infection that just didn’t turn into an abscess . Good news you should be alright .

Thanks that's made me feel alot better tbh. So the hole kinda filled out and then was just a scar? Or is it still kinda sunk in?

I had the same problem trying to upload photos.
Take a screenshot of the photo and try again then if it still doesn't work try cropping the screenshot down from rectangular to square ?
 
It’s alittle deep nothing crazy . When it was scaring tho it was deep that’s how I’m pretty sure you have the same thing .
That’s allready a few years old so I don’t think it will be going anywhere anytime soon

Thanks again. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to scar up then fingers cross I can pass it off as a cigarette burn that must have got infected? So far just said I fell asleep smoking when drunk and must have knocked the cherry off and rested my arm on it as when I woke up it was covered in Ash.
I've only really gotta hide it from mother, typically I'm staying with her for a few weeks right now for the first time in months. And I don't think she's stupid enough to fall for the cig burn story.
At least it's not right in the crook of my arm I guess! No way would I be able to blag that.

I didn't expect it to disappear I just meant how long from when it was looking like mine is to when it filled out a bit and looked more like a normal scar not a hole.
 
it took a pretty while . Trust me I was also worried when it happened but I just rode it out . I don’t think there’s anything I could have done about it back then besides taking some antibiotics but I doubt it woulda helped with the scaring . The cigarette burn getting infected sounds like a good excuse if someone asks (seems possible) I would still keep an eye on it since it’s still somewhat of an open wound and make sure it does not get Re infected .
 
That looks way smaller than totachs scar to me. It looks great to me. You'll have a scar for a few months but it looks small enough to fade over a couple years.
The cig burn excuse is plausible unless someone knows you've ever used needles, especially in the location it is.
It's not gonna be a hole in your arm IMO.
 
It looks like the circle around the redness is mainly pointing distally, though if I had that kind of area of redness I would be concerned, of course . . . If one has an abscess and there are streaks going the other way, towards the heart, then sepsis may not be that far off and it is unquestionably time for hospital and/or emergency services. Actually, red streaks heading away from the heart are not good either. . .
