The 2019 Trump Presidency Thread

That day in VA just like at other protests, the police did not intervene when they should have.
So the police are protesters and not state actors?

What a wild, wild world you must live in where Mossad did 9/11. Tell me how that goes; I have a penchant for listening to schizophrenics' insane ramblings. I'll heat up a bag of popcorn.

"throwing milkshakes on people is protesting" - no, that's actually assault.
As liberal as I am, I would never, ever waste a milkshake.

If anyone has any extra milkshakes, spare a conservative person's jacket and please just send it to me I love milkshakes.

You can start by looking into the Mossad cell that were observed (and later arrested) celebrating the attacks.

Have a read of the actual police reports, quite damning.

This is amusing but it still hints at my assumption that you are completely OK with liberals throwing milkshakes on conservatives, which is assault. The scariest part regarding this whole saga was how parts of the media and prominent blue checkmarks were condoning and promoting this practice.

Yet imagine if the perpetrators and victims were politically reversed...

I'm serious, I'll drink the milkshakes. I'm not a lawyer or on a jury for a milkshake slugger. I don't know how I feel about the milkshake comments.

To be honest I wouldn't throw one. It probably wouldn't accomplish much.

That's not really the point though. Disregarding your love of thickened, creamy beverages, do you condemn political violence which includes throwing mystery liquids on people?

I'm going to say that when I hear the word "assault", the first thing that comes to mind isn't milkshakes. *shrugs*

I can't even imagine defensively throwing a milkshake at someone but I try not to judge. Especially when it comes to protesting.

I would like to see a world where we work out our differences with words in between sips of milkshakes. If you can't think of a series of good curse words to sling at someone then save your milkshake money and buy a dictionary. *SHRUGS*

Replace the milkshake with urine then, and ask yourself if that's assault? This vagueness and failure to address the core of the issue has been characteristic of the Left. If transgender people were getting milkshaked they'd claim their lives were in danger.

Yes, if it is urine, that is definitely assault if not a worse charge.

A milkshake seems really innocuous and a defense attorney would have a great time with that... "It was just purchased - slipped through his hands as it was moist", etc. Do you have the footage on camera? Etc. That will play into US decision to prosecute or not. I think you are alluding to the UK issues though.

Even throwing water on people is assault. What about firing a water cannon at someone which can easily KO them? It's just water after all? This debate is stupid and the truth is obvious (but that may change depending on which side of the spectrum you sit on and who's being attacked).

IT'S MUELLER TIME!

have fun watching guys.

At least no one drove a car into a crowd and killed someone. That takes a NeoNazi. (A lone wolf, I heard.)

Good people on both sides, right?

Non-violent protesters who were there to protest the removal of a statue = good people

Someone that drove their car into other cars, causing a death = bad people

Or are you saying that every right-wing conservative is responsible for that death?

Simple answer - you think there are NO good people on one side, the other, or both? Do you think there are ONLY good people on one side, or the other?

Longer answer -

Do we really want to get into a list of who is committing violence against whom? Actual violence?
Do we want to extend that to who is alledging violence against them by 'the other side' and continually found to be hoaxing?
Do we want to do this in the Trump thread?

I'm down if we want to do this. I just don't think it's going to go well for the left, nor do I think this is the right thread.

I agree. We covered the Deandre Harris beating, tiki torch marching, chanting etc., a long time ago. Plus nuanced opinion is ‘difficult’ to discuss here.

Although I will definitely state that one is defined in some ways by the groups you choose to affiliate with, particularly in this case, Unite the White Right.

This whole trend towards “it’s okay that Trump lies constantly because politicians lie” attitude is going to put the country in the ground.

He's catching (a LOT) more heat for it in MSM, but is he really doing much worse than 'you can keep your doctor' or 'read my lips'? I'm not trying to throw a whatabout at this, my point is politicians DO lie, and HAVE lied since before our country was founded and we're not in the ground yet.
