Social Justice Transgender and gender identity discussion

Idk he's pretty fucking hot.

Come on Foreigner, you wouldn't fool around with him one night? Keep his underwear on when you have to... still plenty of things to do.

This annoys me. Where is the line between being socially accepting and out right rediculous? 38 official 'genders' now in NY.. smh

Are you afraid there's going to be a pop quiz or what?

I don't know what half of that stuff means but that is because I'm ignorant. The only thing that annoys me is my own ignorance.

There's actually 115 and if you don't know every single one of them by 2022 you're going to the gulag.

Also I don't even have to look at that chart to tell you it's not real. If anything those are concepts or ways of expressing genders, not discrete gender identities. One of the key things is that these rigid roles and rules about what people can do what are bullshit, so to create "new genders" to box people into is counter to what we believe. Going for less conformity and hierarchy not more. Also this:

That chart is just showing what different symbols people have created mean. That's why there are so many "alternate versions" and stuff. It's a chart someone compiled with everything they could find that anyone ever used or suggested. There's nothing "official" about it.

Again, no one is forcing you to be something you're not. The vast majority of people are always going to feel like their biological sex, and society is always going to be fine with that. The fact that we're having a conversation about people that are different and allowing that conversation is a good thing for people who have been affected by bigotry until now. There's no need to feel threatened by it. That feeling of threat is manufactured by the religious right, who try to turn their beliefs into blanket rules for everyone, and who also use it as a wedge issue to rile up the two "sides" against each other. There isn't some plot to turn everyone trans. It's just that it's actually being seriously discussed and explored as a concept now. I'm not trans, I don't understand how someone would be confused about their gender. But just because I don't understand doesn't mean I need to try to say it's not a real need for some people.

How are symbols any less "real" than words? The symbol for male, for example, has the exact same meaning (however subjective) as the word "male."

If you are to deny using the male symbol, you are also denying the use of the word itself.

Should we just give up on communication all together?

I think you might've misunderstood what I was saying or maybe I wasn't saying it well. All of these forms of gender expression are real in the same sense that all social constructs are "real". A lot of people misinterpret the meaning of what a social construct is to mean "not real". This is a really good explanation of the concept from one of the best philosophy channels on YouTube right now:

Those forms of gender expression are all real, but they aren't binding in the same sense that traditional gender roles are. So we're not "inventing new genders", we're simply finding words to explain forms of gender expression that have always existed. What I meant by saying the chart "wasn't real" was that it was most likely specifically designed to troll people by the right acting in bad faith. All of those symbols are fine to represent what they supposedly represent, and all of those things are real, but the chart itself is probably bogus.

First of all, most people on the planet aren't Christian, and your argument only matters at all whatsoever for Christians, for everyone else it's completely irrelevant.
Your hypocrisy is breathtaking. Most people aren't transgender, and by your logic, their arguments only matter at all for trans people, for everyone else it's completely irrelevant.
Which it certainly is, only unlike Christians, the commie left seeks to force others to comply with their repulsive delusions. Constantly.

Beneath all leftist ideology there is rebellion against God and His standards. Their ideas can only ever be forced onto people, because no one wants it.
The loony left is oppressive, hungry for power and nothing else. In reality, Trans people (or any people) are not represented by these leftists who only care about themselves. The regressive left must necessarily force it's self onto the community, with lies, underhandedness and coercion...like a bloated tick:

A New York human rights law banning so-called gender identity discrimination imposes fines of up to $250,000 for failing to use a person’s preferred personal pronoun.

There you have it. The true face of the left. Pure evil.

Isn't it also a little hypocritical for people who believe a middle eastern Jew (who hears billions of voices in his head) rose from the dead to become the savior of mankind, the literal son of God (the omnipotent creator of the universe) ...

Isn't it hypocritical for THOSE people to be incredulous when presented with the idea that a man could be born in a woman's body or vice versa
