The new video thread leaves me with more than 1 1/2gb of ram now (no pagefile needed).
Great news, ya'll!
LOL
OT:

This is alphabets rapped in finnish. Song tells about drugs, you might understand some words.

Really funny the dislikes on this. Can only imagines it's from joyless classic rock fans. It's better than the original tbqh. The Beatles are kind of drab.

So, I would have to assume that
you, “Factualist” are attempting to provoke a response with your “The Beatles are kind of drap” comment...

Well, it worked.

First, maybe you could consider the context from which The Beatles emerged.

And possibly, you could consider the following FOUR YEARS of their display on the world stage.

“drab”.

Yeah, The Drab Four.

50 years later and we’re still talking about them “drab”...

This was singularly, the most revolutionary, seminal, tectonically culturally shifting sonic entity that you, or the world will ever see.

Oh, yeah... that kind of “drab”...

Do yourself an indulgent / divergent
favor... start by playing “Rain” in HD, hopefully on vinyl, through a real HiFi...

Move onto “Nowhere Man”, then: She Said, Tomorrow Never Knows, Taxman, Dear Prudence, Yer Blues, Cry Baby Cry, Strawberry Fields... ( getting all of this
“drab” are we then? ) then give a stab
at the final 8 minutes, or so, of Abbey Road.

If that’s what “drab” is to you, then please-please-PLEASE turn me onto what is exciting to you, I would LOVE to know...

PS: I got the White Album for Christmas when I was 12 years old...

I’m appreciating that context, can be everything.

Please consider some!

De Gustibus non est Disputantum ( if I spelled it right ... )

With Sincerity, and the bestest of wishes, to you...

Not really. I mean I like the Beatles well enough, I just mean they're not quite my jam, I'm more into alternative.

I mean yeah I was kind of trolling tbh, because I don't idolize them they way some people do, but they aren't bad, but compared to some of the other stuff I listen to, very conventional, prefer stuff like krautrock, post-punk, no wave, early alternative, art rock, etc. And yea I know this sounds incredibly pretentious, I want to punch MYSELF in the face so no wonder if you do, but i cant help what i like

Wish you well though, it's good to see someone who shares such an intense passion for music, even if I don't necessarily agree with them.

But I also can't resist, check this out if you want to give yourself an aneurism as such a diehard Beatles fan: https://www.scaruffi.com/vol1/beatles.html :)

Again, no hard feelings really, wasn't trying to be inflammatory (trust me, I have plenty of THOSE posts), just sharing my opinion, all this stuff is very subjective innit

No hard feelings, at all!

Just would like to know what you think is reall good, like NOW?!

I go through phases.

Having seen Radiohead, live, after Kid A... i’m A bit jaded, maybe.

I like St. Germaine, BRMC, Bonobo, Citizen Cope, Ray LaMontagne, Mingus...

“stuff”, -yah know... ( ?! )

Who do you like?

I’m in Seattle, and was around for the whole explosion ‘89-92...

Those were just “guys around” for awhile.

Anyway, cheers, and please TURN ME ON!

( thanks for the link... will read fully, later. )

Best,
Bryan

No problem, off the top of my head:

I listen to poppier stuff and I listen to stuff that's more out there, really I like most music, but this is a good cross-section.

Dig most of what you mentioned though
