I was going to post this as its own thread except it is Trump related.

FUCK YES. Anyone else EXCITED AS FUCK? And the O'Rourke debate where he's about to crucify Cruz is coming up too. FUCK YES.

We have set Michael Cohen's sworn deposition for the date after his sentencing - December 13, 2018. We have also requested all recordings he has of communications between him and Donald Trump. We look forward to disclosing the truth about what Trump's fraud and deceit.

Well it was over this month that Cohen and Mueller met nine times. So this is literally as soon as it could have possibly ever come out.

Unless you wanted Cohen to live-stream all his words, effectively begging Trump to hire a hitman (I do believe Trump is in conspiracy with at least one Mexican cartel; the border wall would allow Trump to own/run a tunnel; have a fall man for it, and rake in 10%+ profit on the drugs MORE DRUGS IN AMERICA THAN EVER; Trump is NOT STRONG against drugs because he just wants $$$)

Nah, that's OK. I'd rather listen to Trump's lies. At least they're entertaining.

Or I can tune into Paul Ryan's facebook account to watch him pump a 5 lb. barbell and pretend to be physically fit. That's rich.

As happy as I am about the Avenatti post, can the information they find in the conversations actually be used against Trump? Like assuming they find something (and I'm sure they will) can they actually use it as evidence or is it not valid evidence because of the manner in which it was discovered?

Yes. No one is above the law. Inevitable discovery. The DOJ went about this VERY CAREFULLY and took time to make sure nothing attorney/client privilege should have protected was read/intruded upon.

I live in a world where JFK got shot and Trump survived. Just end my life. I am sick of living in such an unjust world.

the law doesnt matter when nobody is willing to uphold it, except as an excuse to summarily execute colored folks. i miss the days when i was naive enough to think "its not illegal when the president does it" wasnt a prophecy. unless we flip both houses of congress to blue supermajorities there's no possibility of things improving, short of a civil war, and even if we do flip it, most democrats are tribalistic neoliberal conservative authoritarians (better than the tribalistic neoliberal reactionary totalitarian christofascists currently running things, but thats a very low bar) and the courts are heavily stacked to put ideology and tribe over constitution and country, so there's a massive uphill battle that might start a civil war anyway, because how fucking dare anyone oppose Dear Leader!

tl;d i have very little faith in the system atm. i really do hope to see trump, pence, mcconnell, ryan, and the rest of them paraded out in handcuffs, but at this point i think things are too broken and there's not even close to enough progressives holding office to make it happen for sure

I voted for Obama and I scolded him when he dropped a drone on innocent children. I don't look the other way just because I supported him at one time.

I agree with you that people like to have a villain, or in Trump's words, a "witch." Your fallacy in your argument has to do with your definition of "easy." Trump isn't an easy target. He is privileged. An easy target would be a handicapped reporter, for example.
