Black mirror kicks ass. Some of the episodes got me thinking of them even days later. Pretty sure they infected my dreams for a couple nights too. Lots of thought provoking plots plus some pretty cool tech stuff.

Highly rated show imo.

I found it. Thanks! Netflix needs to add season 12 because I missed that. Today I'm finishing season 11.

I picked a different washer from Lowe's and they installed it yesterday. I didn't get a chance to take it for a spin because I was on the phone 3 hours with my long-lost sister. We hadn't spoken in more than four years and it seemed she dropped off the face of Earth.

She went to a rehab and finally found the internet and face book. Still in Miami, Little Havana now. It meant to much to finally reconnect with her cos I didn't know if she was even alive or what's happened. I woke up today thinking OMG did we really talk? I'm so happy man, tears of joy! <3

Nice! That has to be a great feeling. My sole sibling, a younger brother, and I aren't close at all. He's my dad's clone, and I'm pretty much the black sheep on both sides of the family. I only ever see him at either Thanksgiving or Christmas, some years it's both, but he doesn't tend to hanf out long, and alk I got this past Christmas was a nod and monosyllabic mumble.
 
Getting tired of washing my laundry in the bathtub so today I decided to forgo my usual Sunday cocktail of phenibut + THC gummies and instead try to troubleshoot my POS washing machine.

Took it somewhat apart and found some coins stuck between the agitator and drum. I was excited cause I thought I found the problem. Put it back together, dragged it back into the laundry room, hooked it up and powered it back on.

Nope. Same alarm indicating a motor overcurrent condition. Grrrrr.....

Was about to kick a huge dent in the side of the damn thing but decided to take one more crack at it. This time I took it all the way apart. Found a maintenance manual online and followed all their checks including resistance checks of motor windings, rps sensor, etc.

Still couldn't find anything wrong. No reason the motor should be drawing too much current. Windings tested good, shaft spins freely, etc.

I'm cursing, yelling and throwing tools around the garage like a child having a tantrum.

Then my 9 year old, who is helping me, says:

"Daddy, is this circuit board suppose to have this black spot on it? It looks burned"

Sure enough, there is a burned component of the main control circuit board. A quick check of the board, and I can tell the burn is around the area of the board that controls the motor.

Just placed an order for a replacement circuit board from the internet. Hopefully that's all that's needed to fix it. *Fingers Crossed*

I got schooled by my nine year old...
 
It's all good man, a buddy and I used to get tweaked out and fix washing machines and dryers for people, probably comparable to 9 yr olds on adderall lol.
