Tampa, Florida Serial Killer Arrested

Yes, it's big news around here! Hope they got the right guy and didn't just arrest someone because of the public's anxiety.

I'm watching MSNBC and they said the ballistics matched the gun he was caught with (he asked his boss at the McDonalds where he worked to look after a bag while he went to cash a check, but not to look in it, but of course she did and called the cops). But yeah, let's hope they got the right guy and they're not trying to pin it on this guy with shoddy police work.

Good to see! Was there any obvious motivation for the killings or connection between them, or are they all random?

i wrote up this reply before you responded but i did not want to assume so i unapproved it.

wait. it can't possibly be because the perp. is black, can it droppers?

you're criticising somebody/something for something that never even happened! the very fact this story was covered completely contradicts your suggestion that the mainstream media won't cover this because of the accused and his race.

talk about clutching at straws.

The media are flawed, but your insinuation that stories about people of colour being "shut down early" is paranoiac nonsense.

Suck at the teat of Infowars conspiracy-for-cash conmen all you like; but don't expect such garbage to be taken seriously.

What is "telling" is your willingness to go along with trump's efforts to discredit the media who scrutinise his behaviour.

I watch the fake news all day so I think I've got a tiny bit more perspective here. That's about the only media I consume, other than my fb feed and the occasional Tucker Carlson bit I catch. They absolutely choose not to cover things they think their base might find upsetting/ not PC. Right media does the exact same shit, only the opposite. Here in Nashville the black nationalist that shot up a white church, and openly admitted it was retribution for the charleston church shooting, got such sparse coverage. Even on our local NPR Station, which I listen to daily for two hours during commute, it only got intitial day coverage and a short follow up the next day. Haven't heard anything since, this is the town it happened in. You have to drop your biases and look at things realistically imo

Facebook users will soon be able to see if they interacted with Russian trolls

Expect notice soon...

(Who gets news from their FB feed? 8)
The church shooting was covered by the major networks.
"But I didn't see it in my feed... it must not exist...")

OT: I do understand loved ones of victims wanting answers about 'why'?
But is it possible for people who do things that most people can't grasp to provide a real explanation?

This topic of 'motive' was brought up in the Las Vegas shooting.

You cannot actually believe that traditional media is more biased than the right wing drivel spewed daily on Fox News and talk radio.
