Tampa, Florida Serial Killer Arrested

You cannot actually believe that traditional media is more biased than the right wing drivel spewed daily on Fox News and talk radio.

As far as trump goes, there are plenty of studies that show fox gives much fairer coverage than msm. With CNN as high as 98% negative trump coverage and fox coming in around 47% negative coverage. Of course fox has its right wing spin and the rest have their left wing spin. Talk radio isn't even trying to be news imo, it's simply opinion shows and not hard news. I watch CNBC, abc, and like cbs all day bc they have a feed for free on their sites. It's all about what they choose to cover and not cover, and with their 'hard news' segments how much editorial spin they add. All of those three put a heavy left wing editorial spin on their hard news.

Thats all good and well but you immediately had to point out your faux shock that MSNBC would cover the story because the killer was black implying it goes against their left wing narrative when that simply wasnt the case. Like it or not, unless you are watching local news (which as someone who lived in the Tampa area am positive they covered it to death), the so called traditional media is still the best source for factual info. You dont need to deconstruct every story with your personal biases when they are merely telling you what happened.

The Biase is in what they choose to cover, and at what frequency they cover it. After watching it daily for the past couple of years I can say with confidence that there is a heavy left wing biase in the msm. Though NPR is better than most with their hard news, again it's what they choose to cover and what they choose to ignore. I say this willing to call out any right wing Biase as well. I'm simply an objective observer.

But that wasnt the case here but yet you bring it up. You are showing your cards here, drops, not the news outlets.

Like I said earlier, they were invested in the story having reported on it with frequency the last five weeks. I guarantee there will be very little, if any, follow up to the story. I watch the this stuff all day everyday, the Biase is real. I do realize the red pill is hard to swallow, many days I wish I hadn't tbh

While tragic and surely terrifying to those around Tampa, this was a very regional and not terribly long lasting event. Thats why there will be little follow up on the national news but as I said, local will be all over it. Its not bias, its just not as all encompassing as presidential politics or taxes or healthcare or gun control or many other things.

right.

it's odd that somebody who brags about their love of logic would not see that using a mainstream media story about a black criminal as an example of how the mainstream media never covers stories about black criminals is, well, not very logical.

alasdair

I've already explained why they had to cover. Trust me, I'm a lot more of an authority on this than most. Just have to take off your partisan lense. Why is it that I can look at things objectively on both sides yet the vast majority of folks here can only be critical of one side? Come on folks biases are on both sides, get out your bubbles.
