They were fighting the Nazis. Who held the same views that Ryan and others push here. Sorry...were they fighting against something else??
 
As an observer from a far away land tbh i would be more concerned with Sessions and Pence that Tramp. The members of this little White House bible study group are quite scary. Tramp has given the religious right a lot of power in his administration. So much for the separation of church and state. Sessions in particular seems very dangerous and outright backward
 
I dont think anyone likes him! Ill admit I could not formulate a reason why I feel that way...and have avoided commenting on him because I know so little...well...probably because he doesnt like pot and thats.....a kiss of death for me. Ok...and as ignorant as it may be for me to say this... his accent gets to me..even more than trumps east coast accent does. Since I cannot give a valid reason for my distaste for him I avoid commenting on him.

Still, I would not be sorry to see him go and would suggest to him that he not let the door hit him on his way out.

Its probably just natural and instinctual for us all to revile sessions as he is the head prosecuting attorney for the US@A. Most of us are outlaws in one form or another so he is THE MAN. Dislike is almost mandatory, no? Also, he looks like Henry Gibson playing a neo nazi from a wonderful movie.

If we're pulling the more-patriotic-than-thou card, I can claim almost every major war the US has fought in. I don't recall a WWI or Vietnam vet as close kin, but otherwise, everything up to and including the Revolutinary war, my family has fought in. We even have a few of the colonial wars.

But, as much as it's interesting history, who did what doesn't mean I'm more patriotic than the rest.

Speaking of fanboys, Ryan is banned so lets turn our ire back to Tramp as his name seems to be Berenstein Bear-ing its way towards.
 
As i said...Tramp is dangerous but the religious right and in particular Sessions are really dangerous. Sessions believes in a police force unburdened by accountability, in a return to a just say no approach and heavy sentences for non violent drug crimes and they have invented a fictional crime wave.
 
Trump was voted in so theres a lot of people who will like what he stands for and will back him up.

I dont see what Trump has to do with white supremacy or any race hate. Maybe people who are bigots etc will use his inept public speaking to vilify their beliefs.

I honestly think he doesnt represent race hate but his manner of speaking is so crude it can be misconstrued.

I hope he can steer USA into easier economic times. I look forward to him fulfilling his promise to rebuild Detroit. If he comes through with that then that would be fantastic.

I think he is a racist judging by the things he has said about Mexicans. Sessions is certainly a racist. No doubt about it at all. When you appoint an Alabama old boy who is on record saying he thought the Klan was ok till he heard they smoked pot and actively campaigned against and legally harrassed black people involved in organising other black people to vote...then you are certainly complicit in his racism

Ryan banned himself for making a antisemitic and homophobic post. He accumulated points through similar transgressions and this lead to him being banned. If we banned people for opinions that are disliked, I probably wouldn't be replying to you. ;) Personally, I've encouraged opposing views as it makes the place more interesting.

I deleted his post because it was openly racist and homophobic and this is a harm reduction website with rules against such commentary.

Hey soso, I follow your posts and a lot of others as its interesting to see different perspectives. Im not a leftist or a rightist. I just think any political party and politicians in general are basically liars and say anything to stay in power yet not actually do anything.

Theres a lot of slagging off right wingers by leftists and vice versa here and as amusing as that is it would help to see more debate thats better than racist slurs or general personal attacks.

Im not saying you do that, Im just drunk and confused.

I met Arnold Schwarzenegger in New York during the republican convention and he was a politician too! Dont know if he was acting or just doing it for the lulz.
