what a horrible experience but within the time I was in there I learnt something...maybe I'm not as bad as I think!
has anyone one else has a similar experience?

What happened? What did you go there for? Was it drug related like an overdose or to get checked out, or was it for mental health?

mental health I hit rock bottom being highly addicted to cannabis for years and I went cold turkey for 2 months and started taking benzos and I flipped I either was going to end up up in prison or the best option st georges to have time to think about my life..i will never touch cannabis again..i just stick to my codeine and Xanax now and again + I'm on venlafaxine xl and they chave changed my life ..for the best.

Yes, being in a hospital (psyche ward) as a young girl definitely showed me that I had a lot more control than many other people in there and the experience prompted me to try to find ways to be more proactive in shaping the life I wanted for myself.

completely agree it puts everything in perspective and makes you realise maybe I'm not that bad,
