how dangairous it realy is

This is a real quality discussion.

I believe MDMA is not good for you, it definately feels more toxic more than any other drug, but permanent damage I doubt it with responsible use. The problem is the high is the most amazing feeling you can get.

Some serious research and studies need to be done.

From all my experiences I would conclude:

Get the purest MDMA you can find, only take a single or double dose max in one hit, take it once every 2 or 3 months max, be prepared/organised for come down and u should be right.

Did you reagent test and weigh your dose when you used Nambo? I think this is important to clarify because it's part of what I mean when I refer to "responsible use". I certainly wouldn't recommend using MDMA without those safety measures.
Fair point, no I did not test nor weight the quantity. This indeed could have been the problem. Particularly the dosage which unintentionally was possibly far too high. I realise that now. The reality was that I didn't believe I was being irresponsible (at the time. 3 years of BL later I realise it was). So maybe it's a question of education, but that aside we are really talking about a horrifically toxic substance where the margins are really minimal and the consequences can be dire. This is not a benign substance which the general population treats it as and which mainstream entertainment makes it out to be. Even references in films and TV series make it out like just a bit of fun.

The last few posts are interesting. Many people including myself have used MDMA multiple times and certainly feel unscathed. It would be very useful (and much appreciated) if Nambo, ADubbs and ryann could elaborate on how they feel they have been damaged.

Simply to add to the knowledge base for harm reduction purposes.
Basically my life hasn't been the same since I OD'D and I ended up in a hospital ward for a few days with constant face twitching and muscle spasming and zaps. Before this I was perfectly happy and had no trouble sleeping. 3.5 months and counting

Not good. This is one of the problems with any substance - a person may have an idiosyncratic reaction in addition to the inherent risks of purity, adulterants and overdose. Did the medics give you any opinion on what they thought you were going through? (e.g. serotonin syndrome, etc.)

Well about a week later I was feeling ok except for some sleep disturbances and floaters. Boozed and smoked pot for 2 nights and it happened again....feeling ok 1.5 weeks later then jerked it and it happened again! This time it never went away, muscles twitches, tingling, floaters, occasional visual snow, and tinnitus. Insomnia being kept at bay with remeron.

Doctors, psychiatrists, neurologists....all think it's in my head and anxiety, depression, PTSD bla bla. Never had a reason for why I had such a bad reaction.....even when I tried to explain what I thought it was. Everyone I've seen was itching to give me meds....all I wanted was a note for a few weeks off work to try and get this under control but nope I had to take a drug or else they wouldn't give me a note...(never needed a note).

I've had some baseline anxiety before this but nothing major or was hindering me in any way.
