I have used Kratom to detox and stay clean from opiates. Now how do I get off Kratom? I can taper but when it gets so low it is awful!?

I suggest you stop at once. I'm sure it's going to be discomforting but on a very different level. You probably need to find out how to live your life without opiates and learn to manage all these new feelings.

Quitting may be easier at this time, but staying sober requires planing your routine. The physical withdrawal will not last that long but I think the most important issue here is how to deal with life with your own resources. Include exercises, eating healthy finding things you would like to do.

Usually, for opiates withdrawal Lyrica could be quite helpful but I think that is probably stronger than Kratom itself. At this point I'd suggest you try to keep busy as much as possible. Therapy really helped me out.

I was once where you are right now and some people said that weeds could be a good relief but sometimes we just want to simply stop and see how it goes. Your strength might surprise you.

Good luck and take care.
You can do this!

Exercise and plant based nutrition is good for everything. I also use kava when coming down from kratom. It might ease the withdraws and is not really addictive IMO

If it was me I'd take a low dose of gabapentin for 3-5 days to get over the worst of it...not the best harm reduction but it would be comfortable..but after that u need to find some hobbies and start exercising to get those endorphins going

this ^ and some gabapentin for just a week or less. Exercise in the form of long walks or runs in a natural setting is going to be way more helpful than you might think. It's my number one tool for taking on addictions.

First off I appreciate responses. I really don't have many ppl in my life to ask advice. I have tons of hobbies. I also own and operate my own business. I have had the biggest issues with quiting everything altogether. I was an addict on oc for a few years then subutex. I have been on nothing but kratom for 1 year now. I feel as if I am making a ton of progress but I am terrorized by th detox effects. Physical effects are a joke to me but the emotional and mental effects rip me open! After 3-4 days off I literally want to dye! How long will I endure that?

I do not suggest using kratom for trying to maintain.
I have tried this method and I become dependent on it, horribly.

I do use gabapentin for my nerve palsy and anxiety, but that's it.
I went to detox getting off Kratom, U-47700 and other opiates.
It was no fun, those nasty Kratom withdrawals were like coming off a high dose of an antidepressant and opiate at the same time!

Be safe my friend, much love.

Also where can I get gabapentin. I need some bad!

We don't allow any sourcing on Bluelight so your best answer is going to be to ask your doctor. Although I have heard that tapering off kratom is difficult it sounds like you've been through worse. Do things to strengthen your mind and give you hope--read, listen to relevant podcasts--anything that can inspire you in the present and give you faith that its worth it. It is! remember that one of the best things that you can do to calm your mind through any difficulty is to consciously breathe through it--whether it is a craving or an overwhelming emotion.

You've gotten some great advice so I won't repeat. I do want to point out that gabapenton can be addicting for some and can have some difficult withdrawal symptoms of you stay on it for a while. I do think a taper is a good idea, and kava is effective if you get a good blend. Gaia puts out a great high strength extract. You may want to ask your doctor about a prescription for Indural (propranolol). It's a nonaddictive beta-blocker that stops the adrenaline process during anxiety. It's primarily used for blood pressure but anxiety is an off label use. It will lower your blood pressure by about 10 points, but it's not too bad. I have low blood pressure (usually in the 90's) and find Indural can make me light headed briefly if I stand up quickly. Good luck!

It varies person to person. Usually acute withdrawals last about a week but post acute can last sometime longer
