Hey guys this is my first post here, but have been a regular observer of the website.

I'll try to make this short as possible for you guys. I started taking adderall last year to help with studying, but I started to progressively take it more and eventually started using it just for the feeling and not to study. Fast forward to now and I would say I'm on the verge of being totally addicted and dependent.

I've thought about quitting for awhile, and I decided today that I am quitting cold turkey (I know it's not the best way to quit, but it's the route I'm choosing).

My question for you guys is if you know of a legal supplement I can buy, that is similar to adderall, to use for a little while to kind of ease myself off. I've done some research and can't find anything trustworthy enough to buy. Thanks in advance for the help!

not many... if any, meds can compete with addy...anything you find that is "legal" will disappoint you
especially if you're a veteran to addy

Another question I have that I forgot to ask in the initial post: How long do adderall withdrawal symptoms usually last? I have very strong will power so I'm not worried about taking addy again, but just wondering how long to expect to crave it

hmmm users of any substance can "crave" up to years after being sober but if you have a strong will power you have nothing to worry about
WD symptoms IME i would say 2 to 3 days maybe less after your last dose mine was pure irritability your issues can differ
good thing is you wont feel like complete shit for very long
but....you might deal with fatigue and pure sluggishness/lazy a few weeks afterwards
craving and psych issues is more than likely what you will have to deal with IMO i could be wrong

Thank you! Not looking forward to the process, but it's something that's gotta be done

its gonna suck but its nothing unbearable IMO
IME it felt like i had to work extra hard to pay attention and to live normal than before i took addy
but it does get better
do you drink coffee or drink energy drinks? im sure many people would argue but that helped me during WD

to put things into perspective IME it felt like being a kid during summer break... i didnt wanna do shit lol

I drink a ton of caffeine and honestly don't feel much from it anymore. I've been researching all night and I think I found a legal supplement that could help a little

Today's the second day and it's already been tough lol. Thoughts of wanting to get some have definitely came into my head, so I deleted all the cell #'s of people I would contact for it. Just the start of the journey ?

What was your average daily dose? Was it XR or Instant Release? The first 3-5 days are HELL when you cease Adderall use albeit I'm always back to baseline around day 10.

I was taking around 80-120 mg XR a day. Yeah the first days have been really really tough

I bought Performix SST at GNC. I'm a college basketball player so I was looking at supplements to help boost energy for my workouts. This supplement has "suspended release" so it is like XR in that way. So far the energy boost has been amazing and it's pretty much what is getting me through these first few days clean

Today has definitely been the hardest day so far. Cravings are constantly coming into my head, but I've stayed strong. Sorry if this gets annoying guys, but I'm gonna continue to give updates on here documenting the process so maybe it can give somebody else hope.

The updates are great! I'm really glad to hear you're staying strong - that's great news! Eventually the cravings will diminish. The first 30 days are the hardest. Try to distract yourself when you have a craving. Eat something, take a cold shower, go for a run - anything but a mind altering substance. I found that staying super busy helps also. Good luck!

I appreciate the support man! Yeah Ive tried to keep myself extremely busy. Really blessed with great friends who are clean so they won't cause any temptations. I've also started eating healthy so I can start instilling the habit of healthy living. It's all up from here man!

How are you doing/feeling? You sound strong and I think you're doing great.

I have an rx for Adderrall and have run out early many times. It sucks. I never buy any from the street or a dealer. I just catch up on sleep and try and eat healthy. I usually feel much better after a
few days and I just have to abstain until my next prescription. I'm thinking of quitting it completely if I can't take as directed.

I guess I'm saying that I relate to what you are going through. I think you are doing great and you've motivated me to reconsider my usage, too.

Keep updating. ?

What's up everyone?! Sorry it's been a little bit since my last update. It's been extremely tough and rewarding at the same time. Each day that goes by I feel proud of how I'm doing. On the other hand, every day I want it more and more. I got offered a line of crushed addy at a party Saturday night and declined it. It's been hard, but I'm going to beat it. Everyone (no matter what their battle is) can overcome it.

Everyone battling addiction please remember: THE BRAIN IS MUCH MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY ADDICTION.

I know I'm not even close to beating the addiction and cravings for good, but I'm well on my way there and every one of you guys can beat it to.

Message me if you ever want support to get your mind off the cravings, I'm happy to help!

Hey everyone, it's been awhile!

Little update: I've been doing really well. Had a little slip up about a week ago, but that's the only day I've had a slip up since I decided to stop abusing adderall. I was pretty dissapointed in myself at the time, but overall I'm proud of how strong I've stayed. The "little things" in life are starting to become easier. At first, I didn't want to do shit. I wouldn't hang out with my buddies because I simply didn't want to. I'm starting to get more natural energy and I'm excited to get back to normal.
