Gibberings CCIXV2 - And Now For Something Completely Different

No unfortunately it is true Sadie....I couldnt figure out how I'd done it at first then I realised the socks from the same wash had also burnt my feet...

Moral....when doing a very smal wash don't use a full cup of in-wash detergent cos it won't wash off properly and WILL burn your feet and ball sack if said wash contains boxers and socks...

Edit....and yes I'll be dreaming of Nicola the nurse practitioner until Saturday :)

What the fuck do you use for detergent? Sodium Hydroxide??

No unfortunately that's not allowed....although many feel that a shot of diazepam SHOULD be given to any agressive or down right loony person just to calm them down...

I think that might result in me being locked up so unfortunately no...

We do normally call the Old Bill though if someone gets particularly noisy...

I am surprised no haldol, although that's probably a dr's call?
feel better in all your parts, 74!

FUBAR...nah ...Persil liquid...the one where you fill the little rubber ball and put it in with your washing...

Tinker....nah..haloperidol is for a doctor not a paramedic...we have limited drugs and very strict instructions in what they are used for....

Fuck me my sac and feet are on fire!!!

I would post a pic of my burned sac but I'm sure no-one wants that :)

England, I am totally willing to take your word for it! Ice, or a bag of frozen veg works wonders. I've been around someone who's had a vasectomy and those are standard. Peas work the best.

If I'm not mistaken, our EMS, who always have a nurse or NP along, can do a lot of the meds-morphine, benzos, some cardiac-like nitro and limited pressors plus some other stuff. Since they are in contact with the ER, some verbal orders. A lot of LifeFlights I know take an ER doc or resident along with them.

Paramedics are now allowed to sedate aggressive people as are ED depts here because of all the people flipping out with methamphetamine psychosis. Not sure what they use, i will ask a friend who works in ED. I would imagine its something significantly stronger than diazepam though.

Damn, I didn't know it was that frequent-I wouldn't want to be an EMT dealing with a belligerent meth user.

Its out of control here in Australia. Basically all other forms of speed disappeared and were replaced by crystal meth. There have been some horror stories from ED depts and recently ED and Paramedic protocols were changed to assist them dealing with the problem. I wouldn't want to be a paramedic here at the moment. At least the ED staff have security, duress alarms and a lot of physical back up. Poor paramedics have none of that unless the cops are there...and these days i think if there is any hint of meth use they would call them. Not exactly sure of exactly what they do in that situation but i know that sedation is allowed now.

Oh we have dozens of different drugs. Morphine, benzos, all manner of cardiac and respiratory drugs (GTN, adrenaline, amioderone, lasix, salbutamol etc., anti-clotting drugs like transexamic acid, etc.etc .)

Most drugs are supplied to the vehicle other than morphine and benzos which are only issued to individual registered paramedics and tightly controlled. Non paramedic ambulances are much more limited in what drugs they can give.

Consumer....different over here but then again there isnt the same meth epidemic here.

Edit...I'm gonna nurse my sore leg, feet and ball sack off to be I think.....I'm shattered...

You guys are lucky though i think its inevitable you guys get hit with meth too. Its far too profitable and addictive for the people who control supply to ignore. Look out when it starts showing up more regularly. I will take some orally once a blue moon ( thats just waiting for a FUBAR edit ) but its mainly the smokers and iv users that get into trouble...and probably with meth its the smoking thats most addictive.

AFAIK meth has been around for a fairly long time but is still relatively rare. I think the incredibly tough borders/high prices of drugs in Aus is probably the perfect environment for meth to become very problematic. In the UK heroin and crack are dirt cheap compared to Aus prices so I'd guess that goes a long way to explaining why it's never really got big here.

I'm not really part of the scene or the "in the know" crowd here in NI but I'm not sure I've ever heard of meth use here. Though I'm hearing more talk of heroin over here- it's def not common but must be on the rise

Aye, I've only ever met one person who's taken it and she said she made it herself. I've never seen heroin but Ballymena has always been known for it. The 'Sunday World' did an exposé last year about the heroin problem in Belfast.

....didn't want to derail Prince's thread anymore- I'll have to have another listen to Since I Left You. I didn't really get the fuss at the time but I'll listen again with fresh ears.
You're a nut, you're crazy in the coconut..What does that mean! :D always made me smile.

Since I left you was a classic in my mind....it will be interesting to see what they have come up with.

Heroin does three things. It makes you puke, it makes you sit still staring at nothing for ages, but most of all it makes you want more heroin. It's a strange game where the only winning move is not to play. Now you know, you don't have to find out the hard way .....

^ You could add #4, it appears to make you go senile.

Gibberer's HELP!

Something weird happened today. I was at the local chippy, ordering some food (for someone else, being so healthy and that) as the food took a while to cook I sat down at the table. I noticed on the floor of the table, some child had spilled some sweets... So being the charitable citizen I am decided to pick them up, and chuck them in the bin.

Thing is, there was something weird about these sweets. I had definitely seen them before a long time ago, but couldn't remember what they were. On closer inspection, it hit me - these weren't sweets at all, these were damn ecstasy pills.

At least I THINK so. I've been out the pill game for about 10 years, and out the sweet game for about 20. Could one of you drug/sweet experts help me out here... what are these??

pink hearts?

As I don't really take [illegal] drugs anymore and have no intention of doing so I was naturally gonna flush 'em.... but, I mean, what are the chances of finding these in the local chippie again?? Could be another 10 years; I'm half tempted to bosh 'em

Careful you might die of sugar intoxication!

can't remember what they're called but I say they're sweets.

Plus having been sold the odd sugar pill in my time I've developed my fail proof test. Rub the object between your thumb and index finger then lick your fingers. If tastes bitter and mdma like, if you have had it you know how real and almost the strength of it by doing this test, it's the real deal if it doesn't and it's sweet it's a sugar pill.

Most likely cyanide Raas. Double drop em...

Or, get a reagent test because we can't bloody tell you one way or t'other.. What's the weight of them?

If this is them then they're neither Rassy....

http://www.thebubbleland.co.uk/shop/pink-affection-chill-pill/

Not sure if you're actually serious or not but as Scotchy says surely a best bet would be to test them with a reagent kit?.....or at the very least taste a tiny bit and see if they taste bitter and "drug like" or sweet and ......well......sweets???....or failing that put them in your bath :)

Im fairly sure you could work this little mystery out yourself......

Edit.....pink hearts ecstasy pills look rather different (and by the description fairly shite)...
