Gibberings CCV - I've got kids. I take drugs. I'm proud. Fuck off.

When I was in hospital last July the nurses were almost doing double shifts for others who didn't turn up. They were so busy yet remained calm n helpful. Gotta admire that.

Yeah that often happens on the ward i work on. If somebody is sick they are not always replaced. We just take on extra patients. The occasional double shift is done too but the boss trys to avoid that as people get too tired and thats when mistakes are made...and mistakes can cost lives. Time for a beer for me i think.

Yeah, I was taken to A&E the other day via ambulance. I had to spend the night in A&E rather than in the emergency care ward because there were no beds. Finally got moved up to Emergency care then Got papped out yesterday because they needed the bed space after my CT and Ultrasounds were done. Was told that A doctor was to speak to me but yet got told by a nurse I'd been discharged but to have my family look after me. They must have immediately called my GP because for once they called me! They want to see me asap. NICE!

Beds are always at a premium. We are always in discussion with doctors over patient discharges. The other day they wanted to discharge an old lady that had a hip replacement. In my opinion she really needed to stay a few more days before going home. She was a high falls risk and her daughter who cares for her was away at the time. I spoke to my boss who agreed and she sorted it out with the doctors to let her stay a few more days. Hopefully she can go home tomorrow and her daughter will be back to help her. Its a juggling act thats for sure.

Awww Thanks Chat <3

I had my first ever seizure and it happened to be at work. I don't remember much of it but I'm still in a fair amount of pain but hey ho... Such is life I guess. I'd love to know what caused it. From my blood work they think it's because I'm not eating enough. I was very deficient in vits and highly deficient in magnesium. Who knows. I'll see my GP tomorrow. xx

Thanks guys. The worst part about it is that I don't remember any of it. It was a total black out! That's scary! I'd taken no substances, it was just a normal day! I was really tired but that happens often....
