I am in Australia but i think our public health sytem is similar to your NHS. Basically everyone is entitled to free healthcare. I think we get paid a bit better than nurses in England from what i have read but for what we do, what we need to know and the amount of responsibility that we carry the pay is pretty poor, especially when its compared to doctors. But no one goes into nursing for the money. Its the desire to help people.
 
THC is insoluble in water, though it can be dissolved in melted butter and added to a milky drink.

Being an alcohol as opposed to an alkaloid, it forms an ester with organic acids. Tetrahydrocannabinoyl ethanoate is reckoned to be an amazing high. Unfortunately, making it requires ethanoic anhydride or ethanoyl chloride, which -- as they happen also to be heroin precursors -- are heavily watched. And just to make it more fun for anyone thinking of doing a synth-from-scratch, every intermediate stage in the preparation of ethanoylating mixture is potentially explosive .....

I'm sure Sprout will be along soon to correct my bad chemistry ;)

I'd be more worried about the HCl fumes when making ethanoyl choride, and the phosphorus oxychlorides left afterwards. Fairly straightforward synth, but involves far too much nasty shit for bathtub chemistry, I wonder if I still have my A2 chemistry notes on acyl halides around somewhere...

Any thoughts on A) filling a coffee maker with high-proof booze and adding some bud to the coffee, in an attempt to make the next level of black russian, or B) some way of emulsifying hash oil into coffee without destroying the flavour or poisoning the drinker, and whether that would actually work to get the drinker high?

Really though, just drink the coffee, smoke the weed, and leave the chemistry to the RC vendors.
 
No complaints from me about the mod's. Also, really, I don't know or want to know the Evey craic. But do you not find yourself reading the first few lines of a post and totally losing interest - fk i do it with my own. Unless your paid to be social worker or psychologist - tune out. It feels like the only time I can read your ridiculous stim rants straight through is when I'm in the same state as produced them. Any other time my eyes just start glazing over and I skip ahead to the next post and let others dig out the good bits so I don't have to chew through the entire thing. When I'm up though, I've got the focus to actually plow through those monsters without my eyes rolling out.

Gah my hands are rebelling against me, they're trying to type me instead of my and make me sound northern. Must have caught something when I was in yorkshire the other week D:

Reading it now, it is pretty amazing.

I almost find myself wishing oral 3-FPM had a bit more of a sharp comeup and comedown. I have no idea where I am in the high because it's subtle and I can't feel the gradients of it because the transitions between high and baseline are so gentle. So all I have to go on is when I get cravings and the clock, because it takes so long to kick in for me that I have to redose before I feel the comedown actually be noticable or I'll be crashed out for a while until the next hit kicks in. Need something like an implant that just gets me high and holds me where I want to be without all this faffing around.
 
If enough of you PM us moderators with the name of the person who is holding a knife to your throat and forcing you to read Evey's posts as opposed to switching off your computer, going outside and doing something less boring instead, we might be able to do something.

Drama llamas mistook it for delicious flamewar-coca, and set upon it with ferocity. The old girl had to be put down, it was a very sad day.

Seriously though, it devolved into particularly nasty drama until alasdair came in, hacked off all the involved posts and locked it.

Wow been a while since we had a mid week Drama Llamas, I can probably guess but it's simply too nice a day to give one.
 
My mushies have started to ease off now. Still high as a kite but not peaking my brains out anymore. I was briefly tempted to have a drop of acid but thats a 12 hour commitment and i dont think i want to trip all night. A few cold beers will do i think.
This 3Fpm stuff sounds intriguing. Cocaine is my stimulant of choice but i rarely do it these days. I used to love speed but all you can get in Australia is crystal meth these days and i have seen too many people gwt hooked and loose the plot on it to muck around with it. There is no rc scene in Australia that i know of. I guess some people must order stuff and get it though customs but i cant risk that. Would love to try the lysergamides like 1p-lsd and ALD-52 though. I am tempted to order some of those.

3-FPM I still can't quite put my finger on what it is. I think I should try a proper dose sized snufflopagus some time, because orally it is so different from what people describe with smoking it, I'd be interested to see if an actual decent snorted hit is somewhere between the two. From what everyone has said and my own experiences, snort it if you hate your nostrils, smoke it if you like the taste of vaping naan bread crumbs, do it orally if you want a really smooth, calm high that blends in well, but still has a good dose of inhibition lowering, a strong desire to talk to people and a plentiful supply of energy without feeling like you are just rushing with energy and need to move to burn it off. And of course, drink lots of water, start small, and I find sports drinks like powerade taste like manna from heaven after a good night's dancing, but that's really true for most any stim. I find it's fairly strong on the body heat, but my body naturally runs hot so I'm probably not a good datapoint on that. Oh yeah, and be prepared to produce some epically rambling and long forum posts for us ; )
