You need to see your doc. Didnt you say you had a slip disc n it was affecting your arms etc (sorry if I heard that wrong) but apparently they're more delicate up top n if you're still having difficulty its best seeing your GP. Also if you've recently had physio that can sometimes make things worse for a day or so as your body adjusts to the treatment (similar to how DOMS makes someone feel exercise is not benefiting them when really their muscles have slight microtears from the exercise n are repairing themselves but getting stronger.
I did a lot of research on herniated discs when I had my L5/S1 disc herniation in 2012. Theres heaps of info. The pain should alleviate within 6 weeks but you never stop having the 'slipped disc.' What happens if the physio, rest n stretching exercises they give you will get the jelly away from whatever nerve its pressing on (for me it was the sciatic nerves, termed "sciatica" that the nueclus membrame (going from memory here so don't take my word completely ), the "jelly" was pressing against.
The reason it gives certain body parts, such the leg or the arm, numbing, tingling, pins n needles, cramp is because the nerve is not able to work properly while the neucleus mainbrane is pressing on it - kinda like a hose. If the hose has a kink in it, the water cannot flow n the plants cannot get watered. Same thing.
I've screenshot my MRI shots so will upload those later so people can see what my disc herniation was like. Getting an MRI was hard work since apparently its like £500 per patient n they tend to only use it for suspected chronic conditions. It took ages n they did a bone emx-ray first as my mam has oesteoperosis, which means her bones are crumbling in her back n they had to rule this out. A lot of people get osteoperosis through malnutrition n my mam can go literally days without food, similar to you Sadie in fact you are very much similar to my Mam in a lot of ways that I'm obviously not going to discuss on Bluelight (you know some). But yes how we eat can affect our bones etc that's why I always give my little one hot chocolate. Some people say it's not good for her teeth but milk is good for bones n she won't drink milk on its own. Years ago I gave her milk n homey (to wean her off formula / breast milk) because I'm tokd it's sweet in comparision with semi-skimmed (green) milk. She drank milk n honey for years but no longer likes it so she has a hot chocolate every night n if people take issue, that's their issue, I want her to have strong bones n be healthy with good nutrition.
Good lord I've banged on a bit here. I was only meant to post about disc-herniation lol
Sorry - hope that all doesn't come across as patronising

I have a habit of going on a tangent on Facebook about weight management etc n boring the fuck out of my friends list - I'm surprised I've anyone left on lol hehehe
